I think you should crop out the bottom quarter or so. The OOF fish and the yellowy reflection are distracting. Other than that, love it.

You last three aren't even trying. Better step up your floor/toilet game.

I dunno, there's something I find exciting about the last three. The tight crop keeping the toilet juuuust out of view really makes you think.

You know it's there. Every house has a toilet. The power of the image lies in purposely denying you the image of the toilet.

MrBlandAverage posted:It's a glass of a beverage in one of those tiny European top-loading dishwashers. Bingo (and the beverage would be Maltese white wine). As for the lack of symmetry, I learned from the street thread not to fetishise the straight line! Also, it might be because I have some sort of straight line dysmorphia and have trouble keeping horizons straight even with a tripod. It was a fun exercise though, partially fuelled by the depicted wine.

While looking for Thanksgiving recipes a few days ago, I stumbled across this blog of recipes with fine artsy photos: http://notwithoutsalt.com/ The food isn't thrown into a toilet, but hopefully it strays far enough from the Bon Appetit aesthetic that the Dorkroom can still find something of merit. Oh, and bonus: she shoots film: quote:All photos were taken by me unless otherwise noted. I use a Canon 5d Mark II or a Canon A-1 when I choose to shoot film.
