Robin's ground speed in general is rear end. I will agree though that Arcfire -> F-air is really good. It's one of my favorite combos.

No one expects Dedede to jump out of his down-B charge when they're recovering, like they all think it's a ground-only move and they can just hop over you, then you jump up and give em the hammer. It is a good trick to play on occasion if you're a Dedede player.

Okay, what the heck? I did the "Play as PAC-MAN in Stage 3 and score 300000 or more in Solo Target Blast using the back wall" challenge (top row, fifth from the left) and got 310k, then again at 380k, using the back wall on both rounds, but the challenge isn't registering. Help?

Trying to do the 8 KO cruel smash with Lucina thing, but those tricks from before only sort of help. I can't get the miis to move predictably. They keep fumbling around the map before deciding to come at me either in a big group, or staggered in a way where I can reflect two guys, but the third guy is just out of reach and smash attacks me right as my animation finishes. Also, do the miis always spawn in the same way?

After playing for a couple of hours the most I've accomplished is wasting coins starting a classic match forgetting to choose custom controls.

Also is the AI better than it was on the 3DS? Through the entire fight to unlock him, Dr Mario was clowning on me remorselessly.

According to one of the wikis, the AI for unlockable characters gets better as you unlock more characters.

I am cool.
The big difference I've noticed between the 3DS 9s and the Wii U 9s is that, while in the air, the 3DS 9 will try to air-dodge every frame possible, which allows you to punish them by waiting for them to air-dodge at the wrong time.

The Wii U 9 will just read your loving input and only ever air-dodge when you make an attack that would otherwise hit, and you can't bait it out at all.

In "Past your Bedtime"? Just normal Jigglypuff, since I avoided customs. Ganondorf was my main go-to for the All Star events, and I cleared the FINAL Final Battle with Lucario.

Edit: Oh, All-Star Battle Brawl! That was definitely Dorf, it doesn't take much to KO off his forward smash.

I managed to get a wired connection and it's still a mess in that there's noticeable input lag so I got my rear end kicked by a Lucina and Little Mac, the only two characters available for online play in For Glory.

Make a custom Mario with either KO healer or Lifesteal (or both) and lots of attack. Pick giant battles and horde battles in the beginning (they are fast and low risk) but after round 12 or so pick 1v1 fights and horde battles. Free for alls take too long, team battles stick you with useless teammates so you basically have to fight alone, and NEVER do giant battles without teammates, they will gently caress you up 1v1.

This is the method I've been using and I can get to battle 18 or so pretty consistently. The biggest hurdle is time.

I have Vampire Brawn from doing the Lucina challenge, but I don't have anything along the lines of KO healing. Is there any good way to farm equipment in this game?

If you beat All-Star with every character on hard I don't understand how you could have trouble with beating 9.0 without losing a life. gently caress if I'm ever gonna beat All-Star on hard with the 90% of the roster I'm not good with.

Does connecting a 3DS with Smash unlock anything in Smash on the Wii U? I know about the club nintendo soundtrack offer, but I thought I'd read something about unlocked stuff transferring to the Wii U, and after I connected my 3DS that didn't seem to be the case.
