It would be pretty funny if it turned out that Aida's problem this whole time was that she was stuck with suits that were secretly incredibly flawed.

Well she did spend half this episode going on about how her suit wasn't strong enough, so I think that might actually be the case.

e:I'm enjoying the implied Luke and Leia thing going on, especially since Bellri's probably gonna have quite a reaction if it turns out to be true.

Any ideas on what the Blue Rose of Hermes might be? The R&D dude seemed very dismissive of the grand name, which makes me think it's a much more mundane piece of UC history.

I would be all for an AGE dub if they got the guy who did General Septim to do the voices.

All of the voices.

I thought they were the Rose of Hermes Blueprints, a bunch of end-of-UC-era technology that nobody's allowed to use incase they destroy civilisation, again. Is the Blue Rose a separate thing?

The Wuxia looks more like a space suit, with the big thrusters on the back and no wings. Maybe it'll replace the Caitsith in space?

G-Reco suits have a penchant for ditching a variety of probably expensive equipment into the sea, or violently onto the runway.

Also some cool trivia, the voice actress for Steer is half-Australian, half-Japanese.

This was the best episode. The Wuxia rules even if it did get taken out by the G-self Zwee fighting it into a swamp. It seems to be the Dom replacement to the Catsith.

I like the Wuxia, personally. I think it's supposed to parallel the shift from the GM to the Zeonicish designs adopted by the Titans mobile suits. I fully expect Becker to return with a not-Hambrabi later on. Or it could be wishful thinking, I love that thing.

I enjoy quite a lot of G-Reco leg-armanent designs.

Tomino basically looked at the old UC designs and went, "Why the poo poo didn't we use the legs of a mobile suit more?"

Right, yeah, it seems to be the Capital's answer to the Jahannam. I wouldn't be surprised if it has Gondwanan design elements somewhere in it - the Garanden looks very much like the Megafauna, after all.

Big brotherish ace pilot with major political connections who flies totally awesome not-quite-a-Gundam-but-close suits but keeps getting his rear end whipped. Seriously, the Montero's record was actually pretty close to the Hyaku Shiki's.

Also, the closest thing he's got to a love interest has huge brain problems and may eventually turn evil.

I SAID WE'RE NOT GONNA BE FUCKING SUCK THIS YEAR!!!

This has been a more colorful variety of Tomino Gundam. But I remain glad to see some things never change; masked villain, idiot kid ace pilot, also war always sucks (so many accidental deaths already from the G-Self).

More intruigued by the lack of explanation of the politics of this universe. Gundam generally lays out the core political conflict early in the series (or in the spinoffs is well established), but here lots of vague mentions of countries or something and what they want is to stop a monopoly of resources maybe, but perhaps its really about space moon people? I'm sure that'll be cleared up eventually...
