I've read that after the latest APEX exploit they implemented some check that's supposed to make sure that APEX is used up correctly when used but apparently it rechecked everything every time anything happened so their servers couldn't handle the massive increase in requests. Yeah, this is loving done, XL has moved on, Trion can't do dick and poo poo's going up in flames. Meanwhile some people on the offsite have their heads so far up their own asses they could lick their tonsils because of the mean haters in this thread.

Current rumor, supposedly from an employee at an alternate publisher, is that the AC shut off at Trion over the "break." Servers apparently overheated and began to turn off, with some possibly suffering damage/data loss. While I'm still having fun in this game, it would be amazing if Trion just walked away and pretended that Archeage never existed, while giving only confused looks when asked about its fate.

Whatever happened hit the NA and EU servers at the same time. Three of the EU servers have been down for 32 hours now. Wow it looks like my server has entirely disappeared, it doesn't show up on the server select list nor on that status link. I kind of hope it just melted down altogether, it would feel like a really fitting end for me in this game.
