It was a full height anatomical skeleton, as per the requested spec. How can it NOT be?

If they had constructed it I would agree, but they didn't so instead of providing a skeleton they provided a skeleton kit and therefore did not meet the brief.

Tenuous at best and not the argument Sugar was making either. If they'd have built it, I don't believe for a minute it would have made any difference.

If they had built it they'd have had an argument to make.

And I disagree about sugar's argument being different: he said the same thing as me with his cake comparison.

No the cake comparison would be showing up with melted down plastic or ground up bone and saying it could conceivably be combined into the shape of a skeleton. This was already in the shape of a skeleton.

No it was in the shape of some flat pieces of card with perforations. It was a card skeleton kit.

A live chicken and a rabbi with a knife wouldn't have fulfilled the kosher chicken order either.

Katie and Roisin are gold. Mark's only a mild dickhead, and sometimes seems like a real human.

Actually, to clarify: Mark will end the series as the best contestant on the apprentice, which has little to do with who will actually win the £250k, as that was decided before the process even started.

Sanjay is nice but he's a goner. And the last one to go will be either Bianca or Daniel, though Daniel's managed to stay this far likely because Sugar likes his business idea.

Mark should be employed on a Dragons Den spin off selling all the tat and horrible ideas that people come in with, he's amazing.

Stagger it too, so each week he has to sell increasingly ridiculous products.

And he'd manage it anyway, dude is mirror smooth.

The show needs an "all stars" series so we can see Mark and Jedi Jim trying to outsell one another. I'm not sure even Jim could bag a £50 diamond, though.

Or it is atrocious, and will generate lots of scowly-faces in the interview episode.

There was one year that had a particularly terrible business idea and interview, but they've all just melted together in my head so I can't remember who it was.

The skeleton technicality didn't really matter. I think it was just an excuse to get rid of Felipe. Let's be honest he was clearly the weakest and had no real chance of winning after his awful leadership the previous week.

The worst aspect of the skeleton was that Suralan just made up an arbitrary penalty amount (310, I think) so that team would lose even though they otherwise did better on the overall task.

And when I heard they needed to find Oud I thought, where are they going to locate one of these?

pippy posted:

In the context of the show "weakest" must mean most calm and rational!

This task is stupid every season. I think the penalty is that they pay sticker/retail price. So you could just ignore all the low cost items, the high cost items are what make it. £310 for that skeleton killed them.

Yeah, it seemed like the old rope fine was predefined. It's unclear if the £310 for the skeleton was the fine that was meant to go with the skeleton, or if Sugar just made that number up on the spot to guarantee a loss.

It is still dumb that they can't use the Internet to research things. Or on the design challenges, send a picture to the other sub-team so they can actually see if the design's OK or not.
