Carados posted:How do you do the same quest over and over again? I'm trying to follow the leveling advice given, and I can't repeat quests easily, and sometimes those quests don't even appear. There is an addon on the previous page called JobMem that lets you repeat a job. If the job is not on your job board, you have to do the other jobs on the board to get it to appear. Once it appears, you start the job then type /repeatjob (after you install JobMem) to get it to repeat itself.

Soo apparently the new Rocketeer Glider sucks. It only lasts 20 seconds. You would think $50 would get you a little more than that... Good grief Red 5, give us something worth spending money on!

The MGV is out. It's slow, it's ugly, it's bulky and I love it. I mean obviously I don't regret not getting one of the bigger packages for it but I think it has great trolling potential.

I Just moved to Sertao, and I finally was able to have a NPC walk/move coherently during an escort mission. This game has so many glaring bugs that cripple the experience, but I just can't stop playing despite them. :red5:

I give them poo poo sometimes but this game is still the best shooty jetpacky MMO out there. Which, granted, isn't saying much but despite all my bitching I still find it to be reasonably fun in short bursts.

It's a great complement to Planetside2, which is my other main game. Sertao is just so barren compared to Coral Forest, it's been awful. The ARES missions are all in the same 3-4 spots and despite the assurances I received that this place is relatively free of Chosen upon zoning in for the first time were LIESSSSS

I've come across a fun bug in Firefall in where an elemental effect can be effectively "stuck" on a player until zoning or relog, meaning "melded radiant beam" weapons. Not able to fully reproduce it yet, but I've had it happen three times so far. Able to reliably change the element of my primary weapon temporarily (Anything that causes an update to current weapons makes it go back to normal) but I don't know the catalyst to force status effect 3375 (Bullet Element) to error out after changing frames again, which would break it and causes all frames and all equips to get the elemental effect until relog/zone change. I can get status effect 472 (ticking damage like fire/poison) to error out easily, but there is really no observable benefit to that.

There could be some broken scripts or something that causes the AI server to buckle and give up.

Nightmare Before Wintertide: Chosen Offensive Returns The Chosen Offensive is returning this Sunday for a whole 3 hours! Yaaaay... Time: Sunday, December 7th from 11am PST until 2pm PST. Apparently this time slot is consistently the highest populated time slot of the week by a substantial margin which is why all the Chosen Offensive missions take place during this time. Rewards: By playing for one continuous hour during the event (if you disconnect, you have a small window of time to reconnect, oh god) you will receive the following:
The "stretch goal" missions are also back. After you complete the "play for one hour" mission, the following "stretch goal" missions will unlock (oh god don't log out or bad poo poo will happen):
Finally, I'm guessing the Wintertide patch will arrive on the 9th. The event will last 22 days (which will make it end on the 31st) and the PTS has had the events up on it for a couple days now. It features crazy poo poo like a FFA thunderdome with Scan Hammers, snowballs, and literally kicking people.

And that's what annoys me because it's a big gently caress you to everybody who might have something to do.

I just started in on this game. Is there a certain level I have to reach or something I have to do before I can apply for an army? My IGN is Vestakia, and I'm currently lvl 11. Nothing seems to let me click that "apply" button. Edit: Now I can't build the P1 LGV. I have all the parts, and credits, and it just says "can't build more than 1" and won't let me click the build button. TwystNeko fucked around with this message at 09:17 on Dec 5, 2014 |

You can see who is online by going to the Army tab in game and selecting Goon Squad. A green light will be by the name of anyone who is online. There is a known bug that affects some players and makes them unable to click buttons. Are you sure you don't already have a P1 LGV? They've been given out for free at level 1 and a couple other times in the past for events. Double check your vehicles in game and make sure you don't own one already. If you don't, then submit a support ticket as that would be a new bug. You shouldn't have to do anything new outside of just regularly crafting the silly thing.

I decided to fart around in this game this weekend on a whim, and is it just me or are the 3-round burst rifle and grenade launcher really weak compared to the assault rifle and smg? Maybe they get better at higher levels? The general aesthetic of it is neat so far though, apart from female assaults having the dumbest armor design I've ever seen. Like the vacuum sealed bodysuits and thongs on the other non-heavy classes (and it's cool that they got female heavies pretty much right) are whatever, but the assault is just aggressively stupid looking and incongruous.

chumbler posted:I decided to fart around in this game this weekend on a whim, and is it just me or are the 3-round burst rifle and grenade launcher really weak compared to the assault rifle and smg? That aside, the burst rifle can unload a full mag extremely quickly, but the assault rifle is just better in so many situations. The grenade launcher is good for a class that doesn't have any AoE capabilities, and prefixes can increase the number of explosions.

I like a grenade launcher on a Dread, because the AOE is pretty limited and it's not like you need your sidearm for anything else with 500+ round lawnmower primaries. Even then, it's not really worth pulling unless both your explosive rounds AND mortar are on cooldown AND you just have to stay at range. A good assault rifle is never unwelcome though, and on some classes it'll see as much use as your primary

# ? Dec 7, 2014 08:59 |

Yeah, you generally want to use something that complements your main weapon. If you don't have an AOE option on your primary weapon then I'd take the grenade launcher as a secondary. I really like shotguns because they do crazy high damage at close range and I've found them ideal for Assault types. Tigerclaws don't need assault rifles since the Fusion is fast and accurate at range, and Firecats need a better close range option that isn't incinerating themselves. Shotguns!

Has anything happened in this game in the last six months or so? Back when Early Access didn't have a bad reputation and I was a little more carefree I took a risk and got a Founders pack and then the game turned into the poster child for wasted potential (as well as the poster child for bad management and unrealistic expectations). Last time I checked they had introduced the salvage system and the game had levels again. Anything new that's made it worth playing?

Fina posted:Jesus, would that 100% XP boost stack with the maxed frame boost and VIP? Yep. There are actually 5 different boost "channels".
You can have 1 boost per channel active. It takes the biggest boost from each channel, so if you activate your daily +10% boost, then pop that fancy +100% for 1-hour boost, you will only have the +100% for 1-hour boost active. Basically, boosts within the same channel type don't stack. Let's say you are a Commander level founder (+15% XP), have 5 Battleframes to level 40, and have VIP. Your XP should be: +15% (founders) +50% (battleframe) +25% (VIP) = 90% Activate a red bean +100% boost and your temporary +100% boost and, for an hour, you should have: 90% +100% (RB) +100% (temporary) = 290% EDIT: I might be wrong about the founders boost having its own channel, though. I don't have any frames under 40 anymore to test.
