And let's be honest, paramedics reviving people doesn't really add much depth other than "Oh, that's cool". Hasn't it been in every 3d GTA game? What I would like to see more of is moneymaking side missions. Why did they get rid of the ability to grab a police car and go after perps? And the huge open world would be great for stuff like drug-running side missions and poo poo. GTASA is as much about gangbangers as Bugs Bunny is a nature documentary. It veers into cartoonish pretty much immediately when like five missions in you're assaulting a military depot to steal guns with a forklift, and then soon enough you're stealing alien DNA and jetpacks for a conspiracy theorist and planning a casino heist with your good friend the blind Yakuza boss.

Racial/gender politics aside, I'm a big fan character customization in games, even if it's just clothes/hair or whatever. Aesthetics can be kind of a big deal when you're about to dump dozens of hours into a game and looking at the same generically gritty white guy all that time and in every other game can get pretty boring. This is part of the reason why TLAD was just the worst. Forget gender/etc, you couldn't even change Johnny's ugly biker clothes for gently caress's sake.
