I like the idea of overloading it and backfiring, if only because I can picture heavy sandwich parties now becoming Heavy Sandwich parties that also involve punching yourself hard in the face.

Man, cactus canyon just ain't getting any better. That uphill choke on the first stage is loving retarded.

It needs more flanking routes, just like 99% of all payload maps. TF2 is at its best when it's about multiple smaller chokepoints, rather than one big one the entire team has to squeeze through.

Not necessarily, there's a fine line between too little and too much. When a map turns into a bowl of spaghetti worth of routes players start to spend more time running around than fighting. Then when they do get in a fight, it's a 1v1 battle and no one likes those.

If it turns out a chokepoint that has one or two flanks still takes too long to push through, the fundamental problem is the main chokepoint is a bad design.

Yeah, a lot of map makers don't seem to get this. Badwater Basin is probably the best example of this, IMO. There is the central chokepoint throughout the entire map, but enough flanking routes (with cover) to get to different firing positions to get poo poo done. Last can be a bit difficult to push but it always feels very stressful as the defenders since attacks can come from all directions AND are firing downward at you.

Nothing like being on a completely one sided team, we have 3 sentries/dispensers and in/out teleporters in the enemies intel area on 2fort. What next, 4 sentries on the bridge?

This is the only thing anyone should be doing with a sentry on 2fort.

You're gonna have to try a little harder than THAT.
End of an era, Elevate knocking them out for 3rd place this season is the lowest they'd ever finished in ESEA, having been consistently top 2 in Invite since their debut in season 9 (mid 2011).

If Froyotech don't drop any of their great players, or if other teams don't really start to pick up the slack, it's going to be awfully lonely at the top of Invite next season.

End of a legacy indeed.

I guess it was going to happen sooner or later. ESportz isn't the kind of thing you stay in forever. But maybe this just means the team is disbanding but the players will stay active?

Yes there is, it's just that from what I hear it kinda sucks because the only feedback the creator(s?) got was from this one group of circle jerks who have declared themselves Map Making Experts but basically just make maps THEY like.
