Someone needs to get the 3rd panel as their av, preferably flipped to face their posts. Amazing...

Poor Ally, Tubs was totally gonna say he could like that kind of girl.

P.S. Your mom's box.

My continuity, I thought she smelled mostly like wet dogs because she wrestled wet dogs. Ally is a good character.

It's definitely got that "that post..." kind of quality.

If the tears weren't obvious enough, the way she says that last line really gives away how torn up she is (Gobs little details with the speech bubble). But does she think he would have said no, or is she upset more with herself about stopping him?

Totally box blocked herself.

I think it's a little of both, probably. Doesn't want to upset the bro-cart.

I like that Pasqualo is hardly the most hosed-up-but-not-quite broken person in It Hurts!!. You can see Ally go through a whole rainbow of emotion, from happy to shock to panic to painfully-masked disappointment, and it's a great example of showing, not telling what a character is going through.

This is going to be either the sweetest comeback in all of webcomic history, or the most tragic putting-down scene since "Old Yeller". :smith:

With all the foreshadowing, I think it'd be kind of funny if Tubsy's corpse was just lying next to whatever's down in the basement and nobody acknowledges it.

I get the feeling that Ally was afraid that Tubsy would say yes, and she had no idea how to deal with that. The status quo must be maintained at any foul cost.

Well, the standard for dealing with your best bud dying in this comic would be to drag their corpse around town while having a mental breakdown, so...

Nah, he showed a neutral/blank expression fairly often. The only time he's had a similar expression to this though was the other time Ally tried grossing him out.

It's a pretty stark contrast to suddenly return to a happy suburban background with a faint sunset going on, as opposed to the ominous red glow outdoors, rubble, the post-apoc school, etc.
