Uhhh, clearly it was unbalanced in this game that needs a delicate balance. There wasn't any high-level skillful decision making being made between the different mining methods like "do I want to use my iron pickaxe to mine at a moderate rate?" or "do I want to use my drill to mine at a seemingly more moderate rate but need to manage my positioning and energy bar more carefully?"
