This is the fastest I've seen a CoD game die. I only ever see two or three people playing and everyone is complaining about the terrible connections. I guess I'll see you guys next year.

Yeah, the game just seems to die faster each year. This game is mostly dead already even though it's a lot better than Ghosts in every aspect and I already have triple the playtime in this game than I had in Ghosts. If anybody wants to play I will be online within the next hour so about 7ish GMT / 2ish EST

Yeah the community did die down fast. But early in the evening we can get a full party going (ps4). But a lot of big titles did come out shortly after Xmas is soon!

I still play, I just have inconsistent evening playtimes so sometimes I sign on right as everyone is logging off for the night. I typically just sit around in hardcore until someone invites me,, in any case. I also didn't get any of the other big new releases, since I tend to get my console games via deals.

I still enjoy this game, the connection hasn't been too unreasonable for me and it's exponentially more fun than Ghosts. Most of the times I get on to play there's usually enough people on to get a group going. I think that the feeling that this game has 'died' among goons stems from the fact that we're split between 3 consoles and a bunch of other AAA games came out recently that have captured our attention.

I get games that have poo poo connections one in awhile, but that's been COD for as long as I can remember. I also think my internet has been lovely lately, it went out like 4 times yesterday

I'm in the same boat, I've been traveling for work every week since the game came out, more or less, so I'm on for weekends and then sporadically during the week. But the field season is probably going to end after next week, so I should be on a lot more weeknights.

A larger factor may be that two hundred goons (at best) are now split across six platforms instead of four, combined with goons getting married/jobs/kids; given that the average age of a self-identified gamer is 31 now. Having spent a good part of the day grinding out no perk/no attachment kills for 3 different ARs, I can say for certain that this game is unplayable without using hard wired. I'm with DJ and ven, BLOPS 2 was/is way more fun than AW. Don't get me wrong, though, I'm still having a lot of fun with AW, and it definitely beats the hell out of Ghosts. Probably on par with MW3 as far as enjoyment goes. But playing BLOPS 2 with the HC Dom crew was the most fun I've had with a COD game.

I liked a lot of the guns and it was the first one to reward people who didn't camp (i think?) and I liked the way scorestreaks worked with support etc and the maps were great. All imo of course

Sorry i didn't accept invites last night Chris, I was dude-broing with my bestie as we played "gently caress WHY DIDN'T I PUT SYSTEM HACK ON THIS CLASS." Also i got the MP11 Goliath and that gun is rad as gently caress. General bitching: I had an enlisted and elite level care package due for my next game. I connected with 1:50ish left of a dom game to go and lost both care packages. That is starting to get old.

General query, has anyone managed to take out a UAV with the MAAWS here? If so loving how? Bringing down warbirds is bad enough as it needs 2 hits and you only get 1 per life, so I've taken to softening them up with 3 danger close hits from the ravager variant NA45 before using the launcher.

Haven't read this thread since launch week. Just wanted to pop in and see what people are complaining about these days. I'm honestly surprised to hear the game has died down so much. Faster than ghosts?! That's crazy considering how well AW was received.

It has and I'm surprised as well. (al the big titles coming out recently doesn't help) It was initially received pretty well I think. At least from the public and not game critics etc. Not sure what it is but I'm already kind of getting tired of it compared to the other CODs I played the poo poo out of. It's still fun though so I still play. And especially considering how much they changed. It's hard to find a group on ps4 so I've just been grouping with pubbies after matches Right now though every lobby is 3-4 tryhards grouped up cycling system hack, bombing run, and warbirds. So I can see why people rage quit forever. The newbs caught on and will gather their middle school pose to emulate that.Even with hard wired they're still fed kills off the dudes not running hard wired and stack the bombing runs. They need to nerf system hack and bombing run. Bombing run kills you no matter where the gently caress you are on the map and its annoying as poo poo. Run deep into a building? Still dead The connections are still hit or miss. Hard to be consistent because you'll see some games you do really good and others you do terrible and watch killcams and see you never landed a hit marker. The matchmaking is pretty random too. It's based off of skill and not connection and makes the above worse. I would play more if they fix the matchmaking so connection quality is the first thing it looks for and not player skill. I'm in Illinois, getting matched against players from Brazil is loving stupid. I have a 1.4 k/d, I'm sure there's plenty of people with similar stats to mine in my state.
