A lot of it has to do with the concept of fantasy and escapism, sexualisation is up there and alright when used sparingly in these modern times but, the way you talk about it makes it borderline pornographic. For Christ's sake as a kid I had to hear about my mother thinking how sexy wolverine and Indiana Jones were. poo poo, she showed me a sketch book from her teen years with a ton of female marvel characters posed in slightly provocative ways, I remember scarlet witch and rogue were in there a lot, she hated Jean Grey .

A good character can either be relatable or that "every x wants y, and every y wants to be x". It's all about escaping your mundane life by ramping all factors in it up to 11.

Yes there is a growing demographic of very vocal people coming from exposure to the movies and other sources to change comics into something more realistic, well that's where I personally have a problem. You start making fiction about super heroes more realistic is makes it more boring. Also the largest majority of comics published are aimed at teens and above who, if they're smart enough understand the concept of sexualisation, violence, fiction and separation of reality, who how to act in society and towards other people.

In short you're complaining about something that is already changing and will take a little more time to develop but castrating artists by calling their work "perverted" is not the way to do it it just makes you look incredibly frightened of anything that might arouse you.

You can have a problem with my attitude towards it, but there should be a range of different art styles on the shelf for readers along with stories, make age ratings a little clearer and have parents who if buying comics for their kids listen to it and gently caress it, get a specific editor to make sure there's at least a 50/50 ratio of male to female sexualisation, but you know also make comics with out sexualisation at all.

I also feel the need to point out that the original Fantastic Four costumes were very obviously jumpsuits made of cloth, with fabric folds and everything, definitely not body paint.

There's no reason to tack sexuality onto random fightpunching comics. They can have the characters be sexual creatures who have various interests and likes, and sex can be part of the story, but drawing Spider-Woman with big ol' titties has nothing to do with that.

I can even often find the sexy boobs to be super hot great, but that doesn't change the fact that it detracts from the story for a very bad reason.

There is nothing wrong with making characters look sexy, but a lot of comic book artists don't even use imagination and their craft fails them: slap bodypaint on the tits, wrap the vag in leather straps, put into a "provocative" pose from a '95 issue of playboy, ready to go.

Well, got my work done and Fifth Element was great as always.

first off: COMICS ARE STUPID.

I did have responses for the previous posts but I felt I was wasting my time trying to present another way to look at this subject. Sorry we couldn't find a middle ground to all stand on.

So I guess despite me trying to put forward my argument in as clear and concise manner as possible, being sincere about my view point and even apologising about the "jumbled mess" of my earlier post has resulted in one of you petty individuals wasting money on changing my Avatar and tag(?).

Well done, mocking someone for their views in this manner is exactly how a bully acts, guess I don't fit in with this lovely "Comedy Forum�" due to my opinions, ~~question is can I appeal this change or do~~ now I have to give more money Lowtax.? Christ this place can be more toxic than 4chan's /co/ board.

So we can all laugh about this later, which one of you petty shits changed it?
