2k is a drop in the bucket compared to what sim spergs spend on their gear. For a while I thought the CSW was too rich for my blood. I'm glad I have it, but what some people spend on things blows my mind. People spend 700 dollars on sequential shifters. It was basically just some bits of aluminum, a couple buttons and a USB controller. 700 dollars.

If you are referring to the DSD one.... I was almost tempted. My Frex cost me about 200, pretty happy with that. I'm keeping an eye on these: http://www.protosimtech.com/en/PT-1-Sim-Racing-Pedals Not cheap, but look promising. Still, those are half the price of Derek Speare's pedal set. I should be mad that I already own sim gear that cost more than my daily driver

Coming over from AI. Haven't touched a game in years but picked up iRacing and a G27 3 days ago and I'm fully addicted. Are there goons on there? Team of some kind? I managed to get out of oval rookie pretty quickly, seven races, and road course took me five races. All the incidents were mainly idiots hitting me or accidents I had no chance of avoiding. Pretty amazing. I won at Okayama International Circuit, not because I was fastest, but because I drove 10 consistent laps while everyone else could pull one fast one and went spinning. YouTube videos on the road courses with the Mx-5 Cup car were rather helpful. Now, with D license, there are lots of series available - Late Model Tour, National Series, Team Truck, Modifieds, Production Car Challenge, Legends, Team GT3 Challenge, Global Challenge, Grand Touring, SRF, Skippy, etc.. Any recommendations?

You could check the iRacing thread. Skippy is where it's at, definitely get the Skippy. E: as much as there has been improvements in Assetto Corsa, I still like rF2 better. The new Corvette is fantastic, the classic open wheel cars are insane, and nothing is as awesome as racing thirty go karts in a torrential downpour  Even so, I've spent much of my time in iRacing - partially because of how much money I've spent on it

I downloaded 2015 just fine and it's a blast. Was surprised that it's almost 30 gigs though! It's not that hard to install though. Download the main 2015 torrent, the seven track pack torrents, and the car pack torrent and install in that order.

Here have the notes I made for last year's version: 1. Install Richard Burns Rally (NOT in Program Files) 2. Run Install_RSRBR_v2014.exe 3. Run Install_Pack_Tracks_v2014.exe (Ensure you have all bin files) 4. Run Install_Pack_ALL_Packs_2014.exe 6. Run game once to create ini, close. 7. Edit RichardBurnsRally.ini to change xres, yres, and fullscreen appropriately. 8. Run any additional optional installers (BTB Country Packs etc) Should be the same for 2015, which I'm installing now, thanks for the heads up! Ok cool, that was my understanding of what to expect, it sounds like the CSR-E is pretty great in the scheme of things but the CSRV2 is just even greater. My mate doesn't have a shifter with it but if I liked it I was planning to grab the new shifter they're bringing out which is all metal.. "Shits on from a great height" was probably a bit strong, I realise the G25 and 27 are solid wheels, I was looking at those before I realised my mate had a CSR-E gathering dust.

If you're Iooking for something arcadey then it should fit the bill. I thought it didn't look too good though and I didn't like how the career was structured. It is codemasters though so the driving generally feels good.

So whats the trick to getting the logitech profiler to see the games in my steam library? I'm having this weird issue where I'll set a game to say 200 rotation in the profiler for my dfgt but then in game that goes out the window and it's at 900

I think the consensus is to set the profiler to 900* and no interference/as off as possible, then let games do the actual adjustment? I haven't been able to enjoy AC/P+G since going back to a controller. I'm hoping Project Cars for PC comes out soon so I can at least get the catch em all upgrade em all itch scratched till I can get a wheel setup again. Might go for Grid Autosport in the meantime...

If you have shorter legs that might be an issue

Is the Wheelstand Pro sturdy enough? Putting the wheel on top of a single long pole like that looks like it would wobble all over the place but if not I'll look at adding it to the list of things to buy when I get my new PC.
