Miles was under serious consideration in 2007, but was not officially offered before LSU extended him. That said, I would definitely still consider that him turning them down, because he probably would have gotten an offer if the search hadn't been a bumbling clusterfuck. He wasn't a real candidate in 2011 and might have accepted the position then. We'll never know. He definitely did not get a chance to say no.

Reportedly Schlissel/BoR had authorized Hackett to go to $10M if it got into a bidding war. Nobody ever confirmed any details of the contract, though, up until now. Hackett has kept that under lock and key.

The Jets owner reportedly doesn't like him at all, the Bears are a somehow even more of a mess than the Jets, and the Raiders are, uh, the Raiders.
