So in five years the percentage of muslims in Dresden will rise from some fraction of a percent to 50%? Either these people are stupid or just fear-mongering populists.

Munich had a great PEGIDA counter-demonstration on monday evening. According to the police at least 12000 people showed up to drown out the handful of PEGIDA demonstrators. Hope they finally move on to greener pastures, too many non-strawman immigrants living here for that PEGIDA poo poo to fly. http://www.sueddeutsche.de/muenchen/anti-pegida-demo-muenchner-setzen-ein-zeichen-1.2279099

Pegida is actually bad for German culture. Culture is a living and changing thing. They want to kill German culture by strangulating it. Pegida is anti-German. Christianity is not from Germany. There would be no Currywurst if we closed off Germany. Soccer is not a German sport. Lucy Heartfilia fucked around with this message at 12:28 on Dec 24, 2014 |

The first part is all true, but you get off the rails in the second. Germany as a nation or identity has always been Christian (until the evil Soviets came along, at least), Soccer comes from fellow Western Europeans and many Pegida people would probably not miss Currywurst too much. This doesn't change the fact that Pegida is a racist and dangerous ideology, of course.

I actually picked my examples to illustrate how difficult a definition of German culture is. People randomly pick points of time and aspects. Many nazis for example didn't see Chrisitanity as the German religion, but had a fetish for paganism. The soccer example shows how focus is shifting from the German identity to a more European one over time. This is a good trend, because there were times, when hatred of the neighboring nations was much bigger than for more distant ones. And the Currywurst is pretty German and the pride of many people and a good example for a living and always evolving culture.

Take a look at Japans demographics, if you want to see how white bread Germany would look like. You may not like foreign cultures mixing with German cultures, but you will accept it, because the alternative is even worse for you personally. This is not a threat but a simple fact. Retired people need to eat too. I dream of living in a society one day where culture mixing is not a controversial thing. US goons, tell me how it is to live in such a wonderful place. Does honey flow from the sky? Do you ever grow old?

If I understand this correctly, the fraktion "Pro Muldestausee" is actually dominated by the Firefighters Muldestausee, and everyone else are hangalongs. Truely, by keeping the Linke and the AFD together in one fraction, the Firefighters have shown their excellent leadership capacities. the combination of these, and their natural firefighting skills will eventually even defeat Merkelsandre! I for one welcome our new firefighting overlords.
