Barcelona beat Real Sociedad 0-1 today . That was clear for all to see. The team that collected the three points were actually the losers. The old order has been re-established and this showed in everything except the numbers. So OK, this was a spiritual victory, and I know there ain't no room on the scoreboard for spirit. But in all sports such incomputables matter - and they tend to matter more in football because so many football matches turn on a single incident. That's because Barcelona found the noble spirit of defiance: of futile heroism. They savoured the profound joy of finding glory in defeat. It was demonstration of old champions against upstarts. Real Sociedad are still not a team, as their performances have shown us this season. They look great when they're great, but you expect that. It's finding greatness when things are going wrong that counts. And only one side did that yesterday. Real Sociedad left knowing that another victory like that and they're done for. But Barcelona can make this defeat the beginning of the long and winding road that leads back to greatness.

The scoreboard might show a 1-0 loss for barcelona but considering they had almost 3/4 of the possesion I'm gonna have to mark this down as a tactical victory for the blaugrana boys.

This result finally proves the Premier League, the league from which David Moyes was run out of for being a failure, is better than La Liga. As if there were still any doubts. Big David Moyes could definitely teach the tiki taka boys something about heart, grit, determination. Wouldn't be surprised if Messi decided he was too scared to try and play somewhere other than Spain now that he has tasted the best of what Englad has to offer. And guess which player easily dominated both leagues? What, no guesses? It's Cristiano Ronaldo you freaking noob. He's the best of all time. look at how Big Dave approaches Messi with his hand in his pocket like he couldn't give less of a gently caress. he was nobody in england, now he's friggin king kong. Looking at the top scorers in La Liga, looks like its Cristiano Ronaldo by a long shot? And that it takes two of Barcelona's top scorers, just to equal (not even surpass) him?! This is incredible.....
