It's a good thing California's entire economy isn't based on eggs. Unlike some other state that was supposed to suck the businesses from super liberal CA and NY who has based their entire economy on oil. I guess Cali knows not to put all it's eggs in one basket

One of my favorite all-text frontpage articles No Bones About It: Obamacare's Pro-Skeleton Agenda Dylan Grobler posted:As we get ready to retire the fake cobwebs, plastic witches, and lawn tents containing accurate and shocking recreations of partial-birth abortions, one familiar element of the Halloween season isn't likely to fade with the coming of All Saints' Day. Of course, I speak of skeletons, or "Skeleton-Americans" for you overly sensitive P.C. types. We had a much different term for them during my boyhood, but these days a man can't speak his mind in a public forum without finding himself fighting obscenity charges in "President" Barack Hussein Obama's twisted Kenyan parody of a legal system. Reverend Gunderson might not have approved of my creative Gospel reading, but I assure you Jesus would have used all those words if he had access to the sheer amount of Pat Buchanan literature that I do.

So egg prices might go up because of a humane cage law.quote:As of January 1, all eggs sold in the state of California — which is "the nation's largest consumer of eggs" — must come from birds raised in conditions where they are "able to stand up, lie down, turn around, and fully extend their wings." How terrible! I'm Lisa Benson, and I prefer my chickens to have lived horrible lives if it means my scramble is cheap, dammit! quote:But some brands have already jumped on-board with more animal-friendly practices: In late 2014, Starbucks announced it would change its policy to eventually offer cage-free eggs in all products. The coffee mega-giant did not announce a time frame for the swap, but as the Seattle Times pointed out, one-fifth of all Starbucks stores in the country are located in California. Oh look, Lisa doesn't exactly have the pulse of the business community. Again.

Their website kills colors for whatever reason. Rall gets the worst of it but they do it to every single cartoon posted to the site. Here, have a non-Rall example. Here's a cartoon straight off AAEC's website: OK, doesn't look too purple on its own, right? Now here's the version Margulies posted on Facebook: Note the purple faces and the weirdness done to the yellow light on the AAEC site. It purpled the faces and screwed up the colors. They probably have some software that mass-adjusts everything to their needs which is loving things up. Maybe it's doing a bad CMYK->RGB change or something. Like I use PIL (Python Image Loader) on my server for resizing and thumb nailing images, and it's pretty easy to see where a badly-coded similar piece of software could be loving up color codes when interns are uploading cartoons to their server.

Conservatives in blue states, like Allie in the Illinois Mirror and Benson, are just the most aggravating pieces of poo poo. Every single thing out of their mouths is about how terrible their state is. Tom Foley has run two straight campaigns on the premise that Connecticut is terrible and businesses get cancer of the money the second they set foot here. Why don't you just get the gently caress out, conservatives? Oh, right, because states run by Republicans are horrid shitholes, because they're run by Republicans.
