Either good commentary or a fair race are kind of necessary to make this entertaining but without either it's not particularly interesting. Shame too since BoI and especially Rebirth is a really fun game.

I don't really buy their excuses for running non-seeded runs, at least at a marathon. Just randomize a seed before the start of the race and only let the runners know it when they're about to start, and screencasting is kind of hard to do in a marathon without getting caught (just sit the runners across from each others). Guess it might be harder when racing over the net, though. But again, I'm sure this'll be worked out by the time BoI:Rebirth becomes viable to speedrun this year.

Original BOI doesn't support seeding by default, by the way. The only way I know to do it is to use spidermod which also has cheat features, so people are also nervous about that.
