What saves it for me is that its version of open world PvP is really drat good and it has the most elegant and enjoyable RPG combat system I've experienced outside of Dark Souls 1 & 2. Plus it has free updates and no sub fee whatsoever, so I drop it for a few months and pick it up again just like Battlefield or whatever.
