For computer on the couch I think one of the small wireless keyboards with a trackpad that Logitech makes are just about the best thing ever.

Regarding controllers, the 360 controller is pretty cool since all games for PC are developed with that one in mind, it's got an official wireless receiver and is literally plug-and-play with no problems. I'm all for simplicity and not having to install drivers and configure settings to play my stupid games d-pad's pretty bad, though

Seriously though the 310 should only be bought if you have a super strict budget, there's never a reason to get one anymore if you aren't building someone an emulation machine that absolutely must stay under $x. The DS4 software is basically invisible after setup, at least the ones I've used. I hit the PS button, it syncs to my bluetooth dongle automatically, done.

What's a good 28 to 32 inch TV that has separate component and composite inputs? I want a TV for my bedroom that I'm going to hook an older 360, a Wii, and possibly a Dreamcast and SNES to and everything I'm finding in that size range usually has one shared component/composite input along with a few HDMI ports. Or is it possible to get a component/composite switch box that can handle both, since it seems the yellow input on component video is the same as the composite input?

Nope, sadly, the inputs aren't the same. If you plug composite into the component green, you're likely to get a slightly messed up black-and-white image. Your best bet, honestly, might be just finding an upscaler that can convert the composite signal to HDMI or component. (This can actually be done pretty cheaply for the SNES; the early models of SNES could actually do RGB out, so you can get an RGB SCART cable for your SNES and then plug that into a SCART->HDMI converter.)

welp i'm done with far cry 3's story mode. holy poo poo that game was embarassing. the bit where citra is praising you and your girlfriend is acting like a screeching harpy begging you to return to normal has to be seen to be believed. i think ubisoft should lay off the whole writing video game stories business. god drat. i don't think i've ever seen racist caricatures of that level in a video game before. voodoo poo poo doesn't even exist in the part of the world you're supposed to be in, and yet you're surrounded by dudes with fake Jamaican accents and gross caricatures of tiki torches and poo poo. gently caress

It feels like the writer started out wanting to do a critique or something but immediately after starting the script completely forgot and just wrote some earnest fanfiction of 19th century Victorian British adventure novels. Then at the very end he remembered again and you get 5 seconds of the protag going "oh no i'm a monster" before the credits roll

Considering her boyfriend was loving mental, she didn't seem harpyish. Might be misremembering. It's weird when you compare it to Far Cry 4 in terms of how the main character deals with becoming a veteran. I'm about 7% in, killed hundreds of people, and it's all just tickerty boo for him. He's not really said he's upset at all the killing he's doing, and as far as I know in the game, he's never even held a gun before. Edit: Actually, are there any killing FPSes where the main character is a woman? I mean, Alien has one but she's basically a victim rather than an aggressor. You have them in 3rd person games a lot, like Bayonetta and Tomb Raider because you've got a jiggle to look at when you are not actually murdering people.
