I'm very much a minimalist which is why I think the BrawnGP car will always be my favourite looking car. It just looked so gorgeous. Added to the fact Button was driving it I pretty much spent 2009 with a constant boner.

[edit] the old 2009 Toyota wasn't too bad either, I always liked the red/white and Panasonic of those a little.

Oooooh yes, green is clearly the sexiest colour on an F1 car. This one is the best but I even quite like the Caterham livery

helps that that's possibly the most aesthetically pleasing car design in Formula 1 history, certainly for the last 25 years or so.

The fluorescent wheel covers were the icing on the cake for the BGP001, then they added a sponsor with a different shade of yellow and it all went downhill

I actually did quite like the livery and the concept, but I would have liked it a drat sight more if I'd been able to see it moving at the speed of a real F1 car.

Yeah, everyone hated that at the time (mostly because the idea was stupid as gently caress), but I always particularly dug the red ring around the airbox. Kinda' visibility-warning-stripe-thing-ish. This is also one of those "I know this opinion is objectively wrong and indefensible, but..." things, but I kinda' liked the grooved tires too. To me they just looked more abstract and sci-fi and generally... future... than slicks. Yes I'm aware I'm dumb. Also god those front wing spoons and organic-curve rear wings were sexy. On that note, it's funny how people's sense for these things works. I remember--at least where I was hanging out at the time--before the 09 cars came out, everyone talking about how ugly the cars were getting with all their areo bits and whatnot, the F1.07 and F1.08 in particular. There were a lot of threads in forums where those two cars caught a lot of flak aesthetically. Now you often hear the F1.08 mentioned as one of the favorite cars of the era. What's amazing is how the cars from 2004 to 2008 still look extremely modern day sort of machinery. All current. But the 2009 to now cars just look dated already.
