I'm getting the New XL sometime but holy poo poo Nintendo you dropped the ball on us. I now have to keep my old AC adapter and the regular New not being brought over sucks.

Considering the OP of the 3DS thread used to be "yes, buy the XL", I don't think they're particularly worried that demand for the smaller model was going to be overwhelming.

Really should have saved Fire Emblem for anywhere but the beginning. The most interesting thing being blown at the beginning and a retread of the New 3DS made this pretty lackluster.
