She was someone with no restraints and no limits on her power. They talk about that in one of the issues. He chooses to wear the visor. It kind of makes sense too, he thinks he's in control.

And Namor needs a friggin' muscle shirt or something, even the guy with metal skin could dig something out of Emma's bondage closet.
