She obviously loves playing Peggy, so, yeah, she's a lot like Stephen Amell in that respect. Peggy is also very likeable. Markus and McFeely deserve some props for creating an interesting, sympathetic, and three dimensional character out of what was probably going to be a one off gal Friday/love interest. She really was one of the best things about CA:TFA.

I was trying to figure out why Jarvis was familiar, he's the creepy stalker/probable rapist-murderer from season 2 of Broadchurch - it's amazing the difference a suit and an affected manner of speech makes.

Yeah. I didn't realize that was Bridget Regan or Lyndsy Fonseca until I read it in this thread, and I watched Legend of the Seeker and Nikita. It took me until this episode to realize that Agent Meathead was Kyle Bornheimer. Dress somebody up like its the 1940s and you might as well have put mask over their face for all I can tell.

In my head, Lois was always more screen right, and Tempus was screen left (opposite of this), Tempus was chubbier, and had possibly longer, curly hair. He also had a purplish coat on. He was also alone, and the glasses were his. The scene also took place in a darkened room of some sort, and not a barn. Lois was also restrained. Even worse, I feel like I looked this scene up only a few years ago, so I must have some how forgotten AGAIN.

Yeah this episode was a bit slower than the last two. I could have done without quite so much office wranglings. That being said I'm really digging the show overall! The or thing that's breaking my suspense of disbelief is the fact that NO ONE is smoking, as opposed to, you know, everyone. It's a minor gripe, but you can totally tell it's an ABC show.

You can get brutally shot in the head while you're in bed as long as you don't smoke while you're doing it. And that was a really boring episode, like early AoS boring. The first 30 minutes or so were pointless garbage that really contributed nothing important to the episode. They could have gone to Stark manor, jumped down a hole and seen a boat, and hopped on the boat in 5 minutes of screentime.

After 2 great to blockbuster episodes, it's not unreasonable that the action would slow down - if only to spare the budget. I like where the plot's going - I was afraid that it was going to be a dumb "bad baby of the week" thing, so I'm glad they've recovered all the inventions in one go. More importantly, I like the characters. I'm in.

I've got one question: why was the boat still there? It's been quite a while since the stuff was stolen, and the key thing about boats is that they move. Even if you just sail it to another dock, don't leave the boat full of stuff you stole right next to your exit.

Dooley?) pointed out that the boat just sitting there all this time was suspicious and there was more to this than meets the eye.

I enjoyed the slower paced episode too. This isn't the first time the thread has accused AoS of giving us 'filler' when in reality we got a 'table setting episode with good character beats'. I don't know how this episode could be called "boring". Sure, not every week can have a James Bond-esque fistfight atop a speeding vehicle, but this was a good character driven episode where quite a lot happened, and then a supporting character got brutally murdered in the middle of the street.

Yeah I'm really not getting where the "filler" complaints are coming from. And I say that as someone who thinks the first dozen episodes of AoS season 1 are 100% skippable. -SSR found out about the two Leviathan guys. -Jarvis got brought in and questioned and is now on SSR's radar. -Peggy pretended to screw up in a major way and is now even lower in her colleague's eyes than before. (I really hope they stick with this and don't handwave it away just because that guy died) -We got a bunch of background info on Jarvis. -They found Stark's missing inventions. -Comic relief character is killed by a mysteriously-introduced assassin. A "filler" episode isn't one where half a dozen important developments that affect the overall plot happen. A proper filler episode would've been Peggy getting sent home from work and spending all day in her building going through inconsequential-but-whacky shenanigans. I mean, we still might get an episode like that, but until then...

The thing they were actually after is probably a reverse engineered and incomplete super solider serum to bring the story full circle.

Peggy throwing herself on that proverbial grenade for Jarvis and sacrificing what little reputation she managed to scrape together among her SSR colleagues was probably the most heroic thing anyone in the MCU (except Steve) has done. (That said, I haven't seen the last Iron Man or Thor). Ok, I'm not counting Tony and the nuke, but that whole thing was stupid. Nobody thought "We have nukes, they have a portal, what happens if we combine the two?"

Yeah that scene was brutal and like I said earlier I really hope they don't just forget about it. Peggy being willing to give everyone the validation they need for their lovely opinions of her does a lot to build her character. It would be a shame if they just threw it all away and would cheapen her eventual triumph.

I think the arc reactor will come into play as Anton was introduced, however that plot element might be in a later season as in Iron Man 2 they said it happened in the 60s. However, they could reveal he was part of Hydra or Leviathan in this but still active.

Grease gun (edit - above is right, I'm misremembering it, it was a Tommy Gun with a straight clip), actually, but yeah, it was. The SSR was certainly creative with fronts in the '40's. It looks like they got lazy at some point, if TWS is any indication. 'Yeah, let's just put it in a fake munitions bunker on a National Guard post.' is a far cry from what they're doing in this show.
