Man how the gently caress do you light tank? I'd given up until these goddamned missions and it's just making me remember why I hate playing them. I'm terrible at it and it drives me crazy. Anyone have any really, really comprehensive guides I can try to get my footing with?

Take pot shots and never expose yourself for a long period of time. If you light is fast enough you can be a brave little boy and active spot. If your light is not a fastest, you can passive scout in a bush close to the front lines. Just remember: DON'T loving PANIC. If you are lit, you are hosed anyway.

Remember that in some maps, you don't have to scout at all at the beginning of the match if you don't want to, in city maps or condensed maps like Fjords, Cliff or Airfield. Usually on these, the mediums and heavies can spot for themselves and the TD's, leaving you sort as a pocket-medium, free to snipe, flank or pounce on someone. *take it with a grain of salt, I'm not the best player out there by a long stretch

Basically its an iconic tank which feels good to play, I like having the 'proper' tanks and its a great excuse to play it. Specifically I can't say much for it other than I enjoy its slightly brawler-esque armour and rate of fire while being a medium tank.

It looks like it could be fun if the gun soft stats are excellent and you can play it like a slow Pershing, but yeah it looks kind of lovely E: Trip Report - play lights like you play the Batchat. Be a scummy fucker and throw your teammates under the bus whenever necessary to scoop up damage and kills without getting hurt. For the new missions, does one have to do all of them to get the ~free~ tank will just completing lights or mediums or whatever suffice? Also, is it a good assumption that this guy is a reroll? One type and one country his whole career? He was giving me crap for ramming my Luchs into an arty with both of us dying in the process. (I got the eye for eye award for it too). Although I'm not even over 1000 battles and I suck, I tend to like the T-34-85. I seem to be able to pen well, even shooting regular AP and it's not too uncommon for me to break 1000 in damage with it. It seems to have the right balance of mobility, pen, and dpm. Armor and gun depression isn't great, but the turret will bounce some stuff, and I'm still learning the maps anyhow. One thing I've been doing is just waiting for a couple of minutes to see where people go and how the match develops.

Drop the net, the Bishop moves so often due to the tiny gun traverse that you'll barely get any use out of it. You never appreciate how hard it is to set someone on fire, until you get a mission to do it. I've been trying all day and I just got a game where I finished off where I thought a T29's fuel tanks were. Didn't think anything of it, but when I check the after battle report, I *did* destroy his fuel tanks. But it was the last shot he had the HP for, and so the fire didn't get a chance to tick, so the mission didn't goddamn count. gently caress.
