I hope you guys are ready for more Huey, because Stephanie Sheh voices Nui in KLK. I expected this for a while now. I guess they just needed to wait until they had more stuff dubbed since they probably have 1-19 dubbed now.

I think I have to also admit that I missed some episodes during the period where it gets really bad/boring what with college and just rewatched them by skipping to scenes that looked cool or fun. But this time I guess I have no excuse.

On the one hand, Solid, KLK's not the next AOT but it's a decent little worker of a cartoon and it acquits itself without too much hassle (Except that scene of course because, frankly we can't even begin to have a discussion about that without everyone turning into children who mistake 'six' for 'sex' and make childish oh'ing when anyone says it) and I can think of worse new show choices right now what with Viz's Sailor Moon being a visual shitheap. On the other, this is rather ballsy to put on at 2330, and I would have thought it would have been the replacement show for GL as part of that Aniplex block.

Hey alongside DBZ Kai it might not look too bad, and besides with how shittily the HD feed is compressed (at least it is on cable) the visual blunders of Viz's Sailor Moon wouldn't even really show up most likely. But yeah, I enjoy KLK. Its not meant to be taken seriously and its just a fun trip. It gets weird at the end but this is Pseudo-Gainax Trigger we're talking about here, its fairly typical.

LAST WEEK ON TOONAMI Dragon Ball Z Kai: Gohan, having succeeded at surviving in the wilderness, begins his martial arts training with Piccolo. Goku reaches the end of Snake Way and meets King Kai. They tell some jokes and King Kai tells Goku to catch his monkey bubbles. King Kai's planet has ten times Earth gravity though, so it's pretty drat hard. One Piece: We're out of clipshow hell! Gurren Lagann: Seven years later, humanity has thrived on the surface under Simon's leadership, and he's even engaged to Nia! Good for him. However, when the population of the world reaches one million, the thread that Lordgenome spoke of in his dying words makes itself known and takes Nia away. LAST WEEK ON GOONAMI Slayers Next: We beat up a princess with a made-up god (Atheism: 1), a weird priest tricked us into robbing a bunch of Macho Men (OH YEAH), and the party split up to help two dueling wizards gently caress with each other, though there may be more to the situation than we think. Yoshihiko: We didn't watch Yoshihiko last week so pretty much same as always.

So, semi-serious question: Given the above, can I make it all the way through KLK? I'll certainly try, I just want to know if I should brace myself for anything "SAO: part 2" levels of bad.

The nice thing about KLK is that by the time things get questionable, you're already along for the ride. So probably not.
