Two Finger posted:whats the take on pacific and band of brothers BoB set the bar so high that nothing could really follow it, Pacific is still worth a watch though. If you know how to read you should pick up the book With the Old Breed by E.B. Sledge, some of the best parts of Pacific are based on it. Pretty great account of fighting on Peleliu and Okinawa.

The Pacific was a great show. Things seen; Captured marines executed with genitals cut off. Rotting Corpses. PTSD before it was a term. Marine making GBS threads pants. Hot Aussie chicks. Suicide bomber with a baby. Different baby suckling at dead mothers teat. Much more metal than Band o Bros. http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=-xwvLe3SlEk

holocaust bloopers posted:Supposedly about the Eight Air Force during WW2. It'll be called The Mighty Eighth and is based on a book titled Masters of the Air: Bomber Boys Who Fought the Air War Against Nazi Germany. Supposedly it goes back to the BOB theme of focusing on a specific unit rather than a broader look. Edit: Godholio fucked around with this message at 19:16 on Jan 17, 2015 |

World War 2 would have been a lot different if the powers-that-were had decided to use chemical weapons in response to Japan's usage, but nobody, not even Hitler, wanted to reopen that Pandora's box. Imagine, instead of nukes, dropping so much chems that Japan was nothing but dead people and killer fog. Japan was in no way, shape, or form ready for large scale chemical warfare.
