Maybe earlier, the codes were originally used for the MyNintendo service which existed solely as a product registration site. Same with DS games.

I think even Gamecube games had Club Nintendo codes but I don't think they're eligible anymore Club Nintendo (In the UK at least) used to be this weird thing where you'd use your points to buy virtual furniture and desktop wallpapers

I am only 500 stars away from getting that sweet rear end $3 3DS bag reward. I bought a few things on the eShop but Club Nintendo wasn't linked to my account. Then I linked the account, bought Mario Galaxy 2 yesterday and no survey is there. If I send Nintendo an email with my serial number and a list of stuff I bought on the eShop will they send me surveys?

Son of a bitch, just checked my to-do history and I missed out on 125 coins by not checking back and filling out stupid surveys. Could've gotten a 3DS game card case thing. Oh well, I guess there's more stuff coming in a month. Do digital purchases still get you coins if the games were released prior to today?

I bought a Wii U last June and hit platinum in less than month largely due to the Mario Kart + Free game offer and a stack of old wii codes I had never bothered to look at before. So yeah definitely dig through the closet before the deadline. I'd guess that the new loyalty program is going to be that discount on games for owning lots of games thing they were talking about a while back.

Well now the website says "Dozens of downloadable games and a limited quantity of exclusive reward items will be added to the rewards catalog in February." I can dig that. No point in putting up a few games here or there from now until July. Makes me even want to hold off on getting Super Mario Land knowing that they are probably going to offer it again in February.

You can still register product codes that came with GBA and GameCube games, they just won't give you any coins. Those registration codes have been in there for a while.

Just tried to register two games, and it didn't give me any coins, just put it in my list of products. It says any game released after 1/20/15 won't give you any coins so what is going on? I have a few I haven't redeemed, I'm wondering if it's because their site is getting hammered.

You can check now by going into Account & Coins and one of the tabs there lists all of the coin transactions, toward the bottom you should see the most recent ones you registered and should see coin values next to them.

Womp womp club nintendo went down. Well at least I got super metroid and super punch-out before it did. I can't decide between GB Donkey Kong, Wario Land II or Zelda 1 for 3DS. I mean, I own all three already on other systems but I dunno which I would want the most!
