It's not, though. There is a UN observed disengagement zone between Israeli and Syrian armies, but otherwise it's the very opposite of demilitarized.

"Steal from the rich, give to the poor". That is the absolute limit of their analogy and they regurgitate it without putting the slightest bit of thought into it.

It's almost worse to me. Take Ramirez. The man is a straight-up shill, makes no apologies for it. When his team is in the White House, phone tapping is the only thing stopping another 9/11 and critics are traitors, when Obama's in now wire-tapping is tryanny and critics are patriots. When Hillary threatens Iran she's a crazy warmonger, when Obama negotiates with Iran he's a wimpy appeaser.

None of this "oh I was wrong, I'll never let propaganda fool me ever again"

He's actually broken rank with his party repeatedly (Iraq, torture, police brutality). Admittedly only in the face of pretty extreme evidence, but I'm still willing to afford him a lot more respect that I would for almost any other conservative cartoonist, even if he does put out retarded poo poo pretty often.

Honestly, I assumed that they had put a modicum of thought into it; i.e., just enough to reinterpret a half-remembered story through the lens of ideology by assigning themselves and their buddies to the landed gentry role and going, Hey, wait, if someone is stealing from me to give to the poor, that's socialism, and Robin Hood was the villain all along. Just like... Obama!

It's the inverse of Tinsley complaining about "We ALL killed him," but from an equally irritating angle. RIP MLK Jr., stung to death by white and black wasps equally, impossible to assign blame or attribute causation, my self-insert saw the whole thing, really makes u think~

It's even more irritating, because the style in which it's presented clearly means that he thinks it's a deep, meaningful reflection, whereas at least Tinsley knows he's making cheap, sarcastic jabs.
