If 'in no danger' you mean stranded in orbit aboard a rocket neither knew how to fly, headed towards an empty pocket in either low/high/geostationary earth orbit or in one of the stable Lagrange points...then yeah.

Well okay, no danger of being blown up on G2. I never thought of JJ putting G2 where G1 was, I just figured if they had been going to G2 they'd have had time to reach it before it blew up.

Yeah, I half expected the story to end with everybody thinking Monarch and 21 blew up along with the rest of the station, only for an after-credits thing to show them hanging in deep space in G1's old orbital path, confused and frustrated but very much alive.

Happily I am not writing the show.

Also, I don't think Killinger will be on the new 13, he did say his place wasn't to lord over us mortals, and if The Monarch hadn't gone for the head chair, he'd probably have not come back at all. Also, also, I rewatched the halloween special afterwards, whatever happened to that Ben guy and his weird monkey thing?

I have to wonder if that was a feint to throw off the over-hormonal fanboys for a couple years. With how often things change over in this show (Hunter Gathers is an OSI man, then a woman, then working for Molotov, then returns to being a man and takes over Sphinx, then OSI again), I wouldn't be surprised if they made good on her aspirations to become a villain.

As far as I know, Amber is still in a relationship with... the big gun guy... Headshot. (Had to look it up to be sure.) Last season, when he got tired of Shore Leave's innuendo, he mentioned that he was in a relationship with her, to which Shore Leave responded, "Does she know that?" This implies trouble in that relationship that Headshot may be unaware of (or apathetic toward). So, if Amber and Headshot broke up, then her relationship with Brock is new. If they didn't break up, then Brock is just her little bit of stuff on the side, so there's no relationship between her and Brock per se.

I think Brock and Amber were sleeping together before the special. When Shore Leave says "Does Amber know that?" Brock freaks out and suggests that Headshot go hang out at the sniper position on the ridge, presumably before Shore Leave can get a chance to blurt out something.

I think the Sovereign sold his soul to them in order to become the greatest super-villain ever, and he knew they'd come for his soul eventually so he tried to find a way to betray them before they could come for him.

As far as I can tell, the Sovereign had a deal with the Investors to keep control of the Guild and the bill was going to come due soon. Note that several other major players had deals with the Investors that came due (JJ, Monstroso) in a very short timeframe. My theory is that the Investors were going to assume direct control of the Guild and kill the current Sovereign, so the Sovereign decided to declare a scorched-earth policy and kill everyone who could threaten his position. When Killinger interfered, he panicked.

I think you're right. I remember that scene. It could mean that Brock just didn't want Shore Leave and Headshot to start talking about it, because it'd be awkward no matter what, but it makes a lot more sense if Brock has already started brocking her.

This bothered me too, but here's how I figured it out.

Either he was reneging on a debt and/or the Investors were so ingrained with the Guild that even the Council of 13 weren't above suspicion. His paranoia had apparently gotten so bad that he went full Stalin. Seems out of character since he's been relatively chill up to this point but like he said, he IS a supervillain at the head of an evil organization.

With the Investors losing their control over Monstroso and OSI and coming under full investigation by the new management, the Sovereign may have done some investigating of his own and discovered just how much of the Guild they had influence over. And when your organization make backstabbing and treachery a byword its probably best just to burn them all and let the devil sort them out.

This makes a ton of sense. Remember that Sphinx/OSI were heavily investigating the Guild, but not necessarily going after specific Council members. If anything, the council members were the leads to get to The Investors.
