Other than that, most of the motion looks decent, and the fight scenes look great. The movie is also very tight and well written.

The new episode of Yatterman is pretty cool, its a show with a lot of energy. Also a huge homage to the opening of Patlabor 2, which is neat.

Really felt like there was a point to all of the bird imagery instead of being there just because it's a thing done in some of Oshii's stuff.

The world itself is really grey, but theres a lot of focus on what animals and plants managed to survive, little stuff like the dragonfly in the foreground as the heroes snuck away in a bush were cool shots. THey don't have an Oshii budget but theres a lot of thought being put into the direction and animation. It's cool and feels both cartoonish and ethereal, like a dream. It's definitely my favorite show of the season by far because they strike an excellent balance between that stuff and goofy things like building a finger-flicking robot. They handle the transitions in tone quite well. Watch Yatterman Night, everyone.
