Deltas are turds and were blown away once the Japanese actually spent moeny on the sport. (Before the Japanese worked that out, Lancia / Jolly Club spent 6 to 1 over any other team, covered up a LOT of problems the Delta had like head gaskets and constant turbo explosions as well as very suspect handling). They also sounded like fart in a bathtub live. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SNIlopdOLgE https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e7qp3srbsps THESE on the other hand sounded like a car coming to murder you

I was kinda bummed that the IMSA TV site seems to be shat up completely, couldn't watch practices or qualifying, even with a VPN or other shenanigans.

Yeah, its on Motors on sat and sun. Looks like about 14 hours of it will be live. I'm guessing the rest of it (or all of it) will be streaming on IMSA/Fanchoice.

The early generation Celicas also weren't that well regarded when it came to warping issues - they really only got them sorted by the time the ST205 rolled around and then it was cheatie turbo time so as far as most people are concerned, the ST205 never really happened. Most official Toyota marketing stuff basically takes the Stalin approach to the car's existence, so I don't think that should really count. Also the less said about the laughable turn in on the early Impreza road cars the better. The America's Cup yacht I got to steer had more responsive steering. Things had gotten better by the time the STI II rolled around, that was much nicer. But I have to disagree about the Lancia's handling - the Evo 2s are stupidly direct, with the exception of being on the wrong side of the car. I desperately want a Makkinen Evo though

when i was clearing out my cupboards at my parents at christmas I found an old tape of the bbc highlights of the 1999 rally gb - that's the last one where they had stages outside wales. Its strange to watch and compare it to the current rally gb, if only because its more interesting: its longer, uses a lot of fresh stages and doesn't repeat a great deal, you had the spectator day where they went to places kinda near people so they could go see the rally without driving to the middle of Wales, and even then they had proper scary crowd problems in the forests. Hell, a few years earlier they still did the thing where they had a spectator day, a day going north towards scotland and two days in wales which meant that lots of people were pretty close to proper stages anyway... The WRC kinda began to lose steam in the UK when Burns died and McRae struggled to find drives before the helicopter crash. Then it turned into "and in the Turkish Rally, Loeb wins for the sixth straight rally" and people stopped caring. Its like if F1 had a Vettel 2013 season every year for ten straight years - people would just go "what's the point?" and watch something else. Now Ogier seems to be dominating and Red Bull (for they are apparently the promoter) can only think of really stupid ideas to fix the thing like "last stage shootout to decide the rally!!!" which the FIA thankfully blocked. I remember when I was ten going to the Jim Clark rally with my Dad in 2003, and seeing a load of people that no one really has ever heard of... and Jari-Matti Latvala. Its kind of odd seeing the guy on TV and thinking that you saw one of the better guys in the WRC in some lovely rally in Scotland ten years earlier.

There's maybe two things for WRC to do before they become relevant again. 1. BRING BACK GROUP B WITH MODERN SAFETY STANDARDS 2. HOMOLOGATION FOR THE CARS There are the only things WRC could do to save itself from certain death in disgrace.

Go Wayne Taylor Racing or the Kanaan/Dixon/McMurray/Larson Express because even though gently caress Ganassi in TUSC and Dixon is boring, the other three guys rule.

It is actually a very good quality stream, has RLM as the announcers, and uses much better cameras than last year, the Nascar money shows in the quality for sure.
