They keep wondering why it's so much bigger than a lion or a tiger, and while I don't know much about genetics, my theory is that a hybrid between the two might more resemble their common ancestor more than the individual parents, but I might be talking out of my rear end. No matter what, they're super cool

Tigons (male tiger, female lion) go the opposite way and are smaller than both parents. Ligers and Tigons have all sorts of health problems.

The biggest non-freak cat ever was the pants-soilingly badass Smilodon populator, which was not only built like a brick shithouse, but had 11-inch long canine teeth:

Dexter is the most judgmental creature I've ever had. Smokey doesn't really care about people but Dex will judge you mercilessly. When I was in college his cage was in my bedroom and he made boyfriends uncomfortable on several occasions with his super judgmental stare. You had to walk past his cage to get to my bathroom and he'd slowly pivot and follow them with his judgmental gaze.

Turn the light off. STILL JUDGING.

Dolphins and Whales playing! (the video is actually just pictures and is somehwhat uneventful, but still pretty neat)

I could have sworn there were a bunch of videos showing this, but now I can't find a single one with any decent footage.

Still, it s not just dolphins that whales like to balance on their nose, but sometimes kayakers too.

I remember one of the dinosaur shows I watched as a kid had a segment on Maiasaur, which means "mother lizard", named because they nested in groups and hung out raising the babies together.
