Looks like Hammond will be using a Series 1 Land Rover to replicate the 90 "dambuster" advert later in the series. Original: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ad_c7nVi4qo

It certainly won't be edited at least for the first run, they've been doing that (hence the 1.5hr block) for several seasons now. They do eventually get chopped down when they go into reruns, but first air is generally as seen on BBC plus commercials.

And iPlayer is usually only available for UK citizens. I expect "simulcast in 50 countries" to mean "shown on 50 national networks, as actual programming on the telly, at the same time it is broadcast in the UK"

It could simply be that someone in the BBC's legal department has found a way that, for an online broadcast, their "anything we want and you can't stop us" music rights are still valid.

Does anyone know the name of the song they were playing at the end of the first race sequence? edit: figured out I could Shazam it. It's from Captain America: Winter Soldier and called Taking a Stand.

That hovercraft looked terrifying to drive. I guess you've got the throttle, right prop pitch, left prop pitch, and the rudder that you have to deal with all at once. All without any traction of any kind, yikes!

I don't get how they are banging on about the Ford GT's gas mileage. The F430 is rated for far less mpg on the highway and the Zonda's not even rated, but I doubt it's any better.

I'm referring to the segment they had in Series 7 where they drove to the south of France, but I'm not surprised he isn't keen on it though. It was a gag they had about how Jeremy kept having to take on fuel, which isn't shocking for a supercar, but I fail to see how it could be any worse than the Zonda and F430 the others had. I guess it was have a dig at an American car or make Jeremy the butt of a joke for a change?

Loved the Goldeneye soundtrack for St. Petersburg. They got in a couple songs from the Inception soundtrack as well. Did they say Hammond's bike weighed 860 grams? That seems really light, even for a $15,000 bike.
