Apropos of nothing, has anyone else picked up laudafinem.com? Seems to be run by some nasty ex-NZ(?) lawyer types who are only too happy to breach thorny name-suppression orders, and have recently weighed in on the Matt Bloomfield/Slater brouhaha - makes me wonder if they're being paid to run hit jobs. Also speculation as to who might be being investigated for repeated sexual offending against a young family member.

Interestingly if you google lauda finem there's a couple of those messages you get when copyrighted material has been removed. I googled the people who had made the complaints and they're both people that lauda finem has written things about in the past.

I feel sorry for the dude @ TV3. Having a family member elected to the house which you cover must be awful. Having this going on, is another level of ghastly altogether. He's not a bad journalist from what I've seen. His interview with Collins was epic.

How dare she MOONLIGHT on her GOVERNMENT JOB and write a book. She should write books the correct way - on the unemployment benefit - and stop using government money to criticise the government. Oh wait.

No hua used to talk about paua guts/poo poo, basically the part of paua you don't eat is hua. Whether that's actually what he meant is something else. His intonation is weird as gently caress anyway so it's hard to tell.

Or someone who would intentionally chose a word like that so he could say "No, I'm using ONE OF NEW ZEALAND'S OFFICIAL LANGUAGES YOU'RE TRYING TO MAKE IT WORSE THAN IT IS" when people get upset. We all know that "ungrateful hua" is a perfectly common phrase, but who has ever heard anyone use "ungrateful whore" in any context whatsoever?
|
# ? Jan 28, 2015 01:59 |
it's a 'nicer' way of saying whore with scottish/irish pronunciation, the only relation it has to te reo is plausible deniabilitythe Herald posted:"Sean has addressed his earlier comments on air - he defined a hua as 'just a woman who annoys you'," Lorimer said.

Catton's vicious attack on the democratically elected representatives of the NZ people is a personal insult to the majority of New Zealanders, thus the nasty left is at it again.

Catton made a comment about the political nature of the government, Key made one back, didn't really see much more to it than a left vs right thing. You either agree or you don't. But Plunket, lol. I hear the word 'Hua' busted out now and then, but it's not something I think I've ever heard anyone say on the radio outside of readings of fiction. He's successfully made it all about him, but we should cut him some slack because it's the only time he'll ever be mentioned in the same realm as Catton.
