I'm gonna get hosed so hard on my taxes. I was on unemployment for 6 months with no taxes being taken out and I made over $6k in one month as a sub-contractor on my 1099G.

I think I just cycled past my first case of "old person mistakes throttle for brake" on my way home. They've stuffed their car into the farthest little tree centre of frame, coming from the Tesco behind the camera: https://goo.gl/maps/z3Ty7 I don't even know how. It did snow today, I dunno if everyone's freaking out because of that.

I was thinking the same thing since I have worked basically another full time job for half the year, but I did the quick calculator and it looks like I will owe like 60 total. now i just need my other W2 to actually get it done.

Honestly, if they get the desired base stock it really does not mater the process unless there is a glaringly obvious reason to choose one process over another. Filter wise, Fram makes everything from filters which are a absolute crap to products which start to compete in higher end market segments. The biggest reason I avoid their products is that product quality can vary significantly from one manufacturing location to the next. At least with a cartridge filter you can do a quick visual and see if there are any major issues (both before you install it and after you remove it.) How did you keep track of all of it, or did you shove it all in a shoebox and enter it all in at the end of the year?

I think if we hadn't had Baby Ulysses 3 weeks early (was due early jan) I would be on the hook to pay 3-4k but I think we might even get a bit of money back, which is great cause we paid off the defaulted student loan and the treasury won't steal our return like they did the past 2 years.

I'm still waiting on a few tax documents, but I should be in line for a $3-4k return this year, based on the fact that last year was pretty similar to 2013 and that's what I got then. It's also going to be first year I won't be spending every penny of my return to make an additional payment on my student loans too

Doesnt a proper Pay As You Go system exist in the USA?

We ruined a dude's day today. He brought in a ton of autographed stuff and all his certificates were clearly fake as gently caress He was trying to get us to say it was all legit so he could sucker this other dude into buying them but there was no way any of it was legit. He had a bit of a meltdown and stormed out, dropping some framed poo poo and breaking the glass.

In Michigan, you get the option to claim 10% of your unemployment as federal taxes. Assuming you aren't so destitute that giving up that 10% it isnt an option, its the way to go. I had a 4 month stint on it a few years back and I didn't end up owing anything at the end of the year because I had them claim the 10%.

Well that was some bullshit. Went to Princess Auto, started filling a cart with all the stuff that I've been borrowing from the other techs a bit too much lately and then left my cart in the aisle to go to the cramped little corner where they keep the air tools. Come back, my cart is gone. A little cheesed I grabbed another one and filled it with the same poo poo. Go to use the washroom before I check out, the new cart is gone. I think these people take store tidiness a bit too seriously.

BMW museum tour is neat, if you want plant tour tickets, buy in advance. Discounts if you have BMWCCA! Ps, book the hotel now too.
