First 300 pt game last night. I think MAF is becoming my crutch, being all Morats helps so much when (like in this game) both sides LTs die turn one :). Also yes, Daturazi are great, cheap smoke, mobile, and if they get there they just murder stuff.

We played actual ITS this time with HVTs and such, secret objectives. Again vs my friends nomads, who like to bring 2 of the remotes with fuerbachs this time (was not expecting that for sure) and lots of koalas. But I brought a 5 man link vanguard Inf and hosed things down with mass HMG/combi fire. first time playing Doctor Worm, he was great, revived the same daturazi three times as he was dueling with some other cheerleaders with chain rifles, we both shoot each other, we both die, Dr. worm squiggles over and heals me, next one comes around the corner, repeat.

The new ALEPH builder now has a print list function. Nice holdover until ARMY5 drops at the very least.

I am MAR, so my lt was pretty obvious, sogarat with HMG on a building behind a barrier. He moves his impetuous dudes, no AROs, then the next model he moves in his lt moves between two buildings. he thought he was clear of Lof, but I could see basically the entire model because of the angle, he got cover as it was about 20% obscured by the first building which he was hugging. One lucky shot took him out. then the fuerbach REM pounded 5 orders worth of shots into the sogarat :P

Gotta win a roll to dodge, not always as easy as it sounds.

I fired back the first one, then tried to dodge the next, just wasn't in the dice. Went unconscious and armored rolled my way to making him use his pool up, but yea after the first 2 wounds I got no AROs. But threat of automedkit and dr.Worm being withing 8 or so inches, he just kept unloading on me.

Genghis Cohen

Surely he would go prone once unconscious and therefore be out of LoF? I mean, the way you're describing it, 'on a building behind a barrier', one of the big advantages of a good ARO position with a doctor nearby is your opponent shouldn't be able to blast your casualty.

Yes. You can split the zombies between combat group but each group containing zombies would require a separate controller.

My Druze are gunna be the coolest looking Kaplan counts-as. Has anyone tried out Scarface before? He seems like a souped up basic HI but is pretty economical, coming with an engineer to boot. He may also attract more attention than he deserves while Kaplan get the job done.

Are there any details about when the new YJ sectorial will drop? With ALEPH being a bit left behind on the festival of cheap heavy infantry, I really can't wait to get started on my Invincible army and be able to field a force made mostly of HI.

All the HI are cheaper for MO (if not across the game). Religious also functions as a points discount on profiles, the Teutons for example went down an average of 6-9pts per profile. Magister Knights are dirt cheap in N3.

Magister Knights are goddamned amazing right now, to the point where they totally overshadow non-specialist knights to me. They're just so cheap compared to how obnoxious they are to kill and how much havoc they wreak if left alive.

Yeah they're really good for cramming in some more bodies and getting that fireteam. Great poo poo for MO, my buddy is loving it.

I've been having to deal with the motherfuckers for a good two weeks or so now and the difference has really added some bodies to his lists. Watching a team of Riot Grrls and Magisters go at it is something else.

Got my first win of N3 in. I was skeptical of the Umbra but holy poo poo those guys are CC monsters. Had mine run up the board on the last turn and thanks to stealth cut a Sophotect in half on having to worry about some max range combi AROs. Plasma carbine Unidrons turned out to be pretty good at flushing out Camo guys in cover using blast mode. Playing against an entire army with Varying levels of Camo and ODD can be rough as gently caress but I'm getting the hang of it. Game ended wit my 6 objective points versus my opponents 4.

Good to hear, I was pretty much a stepping stone for other players when I was stuck with a 44+ point lieutenant and the average dude that's not an Order Sergeant was around 27-29pts.
I think the only army that had it worse was the Moriat-only list, which was also really outnumbered and out-gunned.

Corbs, how have you been playing Religious Vs V: Courage on the Teutonic Knights? I've noticed it's up on the FAQ board but right now are you playing V: Courage as taking priority or treating it as a dead rule?

Corbeau
Sep 13, 2010

I'd play it that Courage allows you to pick, since I think of Religious as just reversing the outcome of your guts checks. That said, I haven't gotten a Teuton shot yet. I'm too busy running at people with Magister Knights. :v:

Flipswitch

That's fair. I just realized how many profiles have this question:
Teutonic Knights
Sepulchre Knights
Hospitaller Knights
Joan

Probably way more than I can immediately think of as it effects any Religious Troops with Martial Arts too. I'll houserule it with V: Courage taking precedence, I think it's just a bit more brazen in the Teutons case because it specifically has that rule, plus I realise Joan herself gives this question to every Religious profile. Alright cool.

Because there's no reason why a sectorial can't abuse coordinated orders too.

e: Alternatively, and this is probably a better version even though it makes me sad about not putting Teutons on the table, just link Hosptialier specialists:
