The only thing funnier than watching reactionaries rage in fear over education and science is seeing them trumpet the degree of anyone who happens to agree with them. Well look mister Ken Ham, known scientist*, says that Adam and Eve rode dinosaurs to work! *Bachelor's of Applied Science

It is my quivering, gasping hope that the 4-year degree becomes utterly loving worthless. Well MORE worthless than it is now. edit: It's substantially less rage-inducing when you knock out his goddamn Dreamworks cocked-eyebrow bullshit - he just looks kinda bored and reading off something he found on a lovely newsgroup matrix ripoff fucked around with this message at 07:39 on Feb 7, 2015 |

The ironic part is that Sam and Zed's children are getting a fairly gender-neutral upbringing already. They're getting a STEM-focused education, make bullets, wear pants...would Sam and Zed really be doing things all that differently if Mari and Kiko were boys? Dr Christmas posted:Goddamn, Tinsley loving hates education, even moreso that the rest of the people in this thread. I've been trying to imagine how he can possibly justify this loathing to himself, and the only thing I can come up with is a sort of vague "Well SOMEBODY has to flip my burgers and stock my shelves, so there's no point wasting an education on 'em!" I think this last comic kinda cements that, too. The only argument he puts forth is that there will be too many people that are knowledgable about things. That there'll be too many "analysists" and "experts" sitting around being useless and not doing the jobs that keep his life convenient. Nevermind the fact that most people who go to a community college are gonna go there to learn a trade or something practical.

Poor community college students who want to get a good middle-class job as an accountant or nurse are the most motivated college students you will ever meet.

Besides if the women around Zed didn't have all those practical skills he might have to do something besides drink and Obama one liners. I think that our hypothetical Masaru and Kaito would 1) not be allowed to play with My Little Ponies and other girly toys and 2) be encouraged to play sports and get pussy by their dad. That's about it, really.

The Failed UN The United Nations was set up in 1945, at the end of World War 2. It was not intended to be an association of all the countries in the world. Its "Never Again" mission was, in the wake of that war, to preserve world peace, to guard against the rise of totalitarian mass movements like Nazim and Fascism. Its failure to confront Islamism is a failure of its ability to carry out its basic goal. * * * Please note!if you want to get your Dry Bones Haggadahs for this coming Passover, you'll have to order now!
