Yeah that would be a pretty neat car if it sees the United States. Reminds me of the 1.3L 4EFTE (133hp) Toyota threw in the Starlet poverty spec hatchback (1958 lbs) for the "GT Turbo" version. Which the United States obviously also never saw.

The Mazda only has 100hp because it is an old, cheap simple lump. With DI, a turbo, or even a little engineering could turn 1.5l interesting fairly quickly. (Also, hilarious to drive if you don't care about straight line)

It's only like $1000 for a trans/ecu/motor, $350 for a plug and play harness, and about $300 for the 4EFTE timing kit. Buy a tercel with a shot motor for $600-1000 and go to town.

That's actually a good idea, but would end up costing more than that I'm sure, and you'd still have a Tercel. When I was in japan I pined for the Starlet GT turbo and Corolla FXGT hatch, they were plentiful over there but at the time I couldn't afford one. When I got back to the states I found out the FXGT sold briefly but every single one I ever ran across for sale (which wasn't many) was an automatic. What the gently caress is wrong with the US

I've had this keyboard that I've been meaning to clean for months. I finally got around to cleaning it. I don't know why this wouldn't take me awhile but taking off all of the caps was a pain in the rear end. Putting all of the keycaps back on took a lot longer than expected too. I thought I knew how a keyboard looked but I still had to cheat and look most keys up.

Also my well pump broke today and so I have no water. Its also snowing and I have at least 6 hours of snow removal that has to be done tomorrow since its snowing like crazy right now and people have to get to work. The ZX2 is a Mazda BG chassis car which is one of the best FWD chassis ever made imo. It's just too bad they decided to put a Ford motor in it instead of the Mazda BP which was in the previous Escort GT's.

God i've got stabbing pain in my liver and I can hardly breathe. My body constantly tells me that my lifestyle is unsustainabpe and what do I do? I burn the crops into the ground and till the now barren soil praying for rain, and once the very earth of y foundation no longer supports fertile life on the surface I elect to dig. Dig and stripmine down to the bedrock of the soul, harvest every last scrap of value from my life. Fill the hole in with toxic mine tailings and rake a layer of dirt over in hopes to pass it off as normal to the casual eye

What a loving awful weekend: It was Guard weekend, so I had to go play Air National Guard for the weekend. On the way down: I got pulled over for doing 90 in a 70 (my speedometer claims 80), which makes me a 'Superspeeder' Once I got to the base: They changed my usual hotel, so I couldn't find it, finally at 3:00AM I gave up and just bought a room for the night. I forgot my flightline badge, which pissed off my supervisor And once it was all over, I got pulled over for running a stop sign (I stopped, looked both ways, but the cop says I didn't pause long enoough) And while I was driving home, some guys towed RV started fishtailing in front of me, and then as I swerved to avoid he slammed into the concrete center barrier. Just barely missed me. gently caress this weekend.

I know right? a FWD BP with the higher compression and VVT that the later Miata BP got would have rocked that platform. Instead we got the boring Z5 in the Protege and the ~meh~ Zetec in the Escorts. e: When did DX nerf their laser section? They don't seem to sell anything more powerful than 5mW now.
