God help you if you were a RAcast or were very high level in Ultimate. Being high level worked against you as attacks started multi-hitting you that were originally meant to knock you down once you passed a certain threshold of HP.

Ep4 in general is pretty lovely aside from Saint Million, come to think of it. Five new areas!! Three are the desert, two are the underground desert cave.

Remember how in the original dc game you'd drop all your money and your equipped weapon when you died. Remember fighting De Rol Le in that quest where you escort a level 10 ranger that would fail if he died.

http://pso2.jp/players/event/kyoutou2015/charavote/ they got current rankings on the character vote thing; current leaders are Katori, Matoi and Io for favorite lady-ARKS, Huey, Saga, and uh that bodygaurd dude who isnt ARKS at all for ARKS-man, and Loser, Quartz, and Magatsu for favorite boss. last year's winners, Klotho and Io, got special promo weapons themed after them, but I dont really get what the boss election is for this time around

I have stubbornly refused to play this game on the grounds that it's supposedly closer to PSU than PSO. Is this still the case? I liked PSP2 and PSP2i, but couldn't stand PSU.
|
# ? Feb 6, 2015 07:21 |

Where did you hear that this game is closer to PSU? It has a few weapons that originated from there, but aside from that the gameplay is radically different. PSO2 is way more skill-based with dodging, attack cancels, and guarding. A lot of mechanics return from PSP2 such as the fast PP regeneration and the stuff I mentioned above, but overall everything flows much more smoothly and plays faster along with adding new stuff like freeform combos and aerial combat.

I played PSPo2 a bit back in June; having played a lot of PSU and PSO2 but never touching that game before, I will say that PSPo2 felt like a weird middle ground between PSU and PSO2.

A high slot miezer/elder/quartz soul is still good; the thing that makes ulti souls a little hard to use is that they all only boost the affix rate of Stigma; so you need a fodder soul to still help with affixing the power/shoot/tech and stamina/spirita

# ? Feb 7, 2015 16:57 |
|
Oh yeah that reminds me, if you're gonna buy fodder with a soul just for boosting transfer rates don't go with Mizer or Quartz. Vardha and EX souls boost shoot/power and spirita and are way cheaper than the alternatives.
