Everyone wants to pretend that their favorite character would be great in a spin-off except they don't realize that don't appreciate the small kubo-isms anyways and would just endlessly whine about pacing in that spin-off as well.

I like Chad because he looks cool, and that's as good a reason as any to like a character in Bleach, and for what it's worth given that it never goes anywhere, his being Spanish is pretty unique in manga as a whole.

Gin is the most boring character but his kubo moment is the most memorable I guess. I liked tojirous kubo moment as well. Basically all of aizen crew had some cool kubo moments.

Shinsui has always held a spot of interest as to the fact I want to know his bankai desperately. With him being one of the 2 captains that we haven't seen from yet (excluding Zaraki who I don't think we will see a bankai from). I liked them delving more into Kenpachi, and him learning his swords name after they made a huge deal when he fought Ichigo that he didn't. However I think he's done, and if in another fight he will likely show out early, and likely lose. But I do not have a specific favorite.

Honestly I will be pretty surprised if Kenny doesn't take another shot at the king. Last time he got crushed off screen, and in Unohana's speech to 'pachi it showed YWACH's face in a panel. We're about due for another struggle, I don't care what kind of bullshit eye powers YWACH managed to pull.

Also he is overdramatic and a confident weakling so that's pretty funny.

I also don't mind Byakuya not killing Renji because if he was always planned to turn good after losing to Ichigo it made sense for him to spare his lieutenant after being impressed by his determination (that fight was also really rad and a sleeper hit in good bleach fights). Renji's real problem is that he got transitioned into Ichigo's group of chucklehead friends which is Kubo speak for he wants the character to remain important and get screentime but he has no idea what he wants to do with them after their initial arc is complete. The only one who manages to avoid this is Rukia but after she defeats Espada number 9 she succumbs to irrelevancy as well. It's strange because I'm pretty sure Kubo really did want Ichigo's Hueco Mundo Invasion group to be the characters with the most focus but he never commits and has them all get shoved aside by other characters who other than Kenpachi are also never going to move past their initial character arcs. Also Renji and Uryu's fight against Szayel was way better than Mayuri's and they should've been the ones to defeat him because at least at the beginning of that fight actions actually had consequences.

Just want to point out that the last time any of the Vizards transformed was actually right before all this fighting started, when Mashiro put her mask on to punch Shuhei for his bankai training before mysteriously disappearing from the plot. So it doesn't seem like they've lost their power or have any reason not to use it. They just didn't. And then Kensei and Rose were zombies.

Why did Ywach even need Ichigo to kill the Soul King. Couldn't he just do it himself? He stabbed the guy after all. Also it is pretty funny that after the whole song and dance of Ichigo going to SS to defeat Ywach then having to turn around to continue chasing him just resulted in him loving everything up. What was the point of all that buildup?? Ukitake is totally going to be Aizen isn't he.
