No idea what 5e ended up like!

On topic: I'm just glad that they do acknowledge some actual, literal errors (vs intent) in the drop tables because that means there's hope for things getting better. Even aside from O. Cell stuff etc, though I feel like I've gotten very few prime mods in general compared to a few weeks ago - which is when I started. This is probably more just luck/streaks than anything though.

I saw someone actually do the math for the avg time/ducat/etc conversion for the void trader's items. It goes WAY past what anyone here was stating as 'a couple hours'.

4e's biggest feature and flaw is that it's a comparatively lightweight system built mostly for combat(and light combat at that) with an eye for keeping newbies engaged and minimizing confusion, particularly with the character builder. It automates so much of the tedium of chargen and maintenance, and provides support with power cards and saving throw/basic attack/etc cheat sheets, it's really phenomenal. It could have been a CRPG, but it definitely would not have been an MMO-style one like Dragon Age. The mechanics are only vaguely similar- no mana for one. It'd make a great hack-and-slash or turn-based strategy RPG though. Hell, remember Eye of the Beholder? 4e would be great for that sort of thing.

Back to Warframe, what's the average time/ducat/etc, if you remember? I was just going based on gut feeling, and only talking about buying a mod with the junk parts you got while farming other stuff.

From what I remember of the reddit post non-endless missions averaged like 13 ducats per run or so topping out at 19 ducats for T4Sa and endless missions will be way less time-efficient.

IIRC, the hunter spawn mechanic works as follows:

Upon loading into a mission, the game decides whether or not it's gonna try to gank you (I want to say it's around a 5% chance). If yes, and you're not in a mission type that otherwise precludes hunters (eg assassination), it checks to see if anyone in the party is marked so it can do this. Once an appropriate death mark is chosen (at random), the game starts a timer with a random duration between 90 and 300 seconds. At the end of the timer, the chosen hunter spawns in.

This was before syndicate stuff was introduced, so I'm not entirely sure how that messes with things. I've never seen both a syndicate hit squad and Stalker/Zanuka/G3 show up in the same mission though, so my guess is that they work the same way as the rest of the death mark hunters (timer might be different, though).

This was also before T4 Vor, but that one at least is pretty obvious: T4 Vor always shows up in T4 missions if you hang around long enough, and seems to preclude all other hunters/hit squads.

I've had Vor start his invasion dialogue right after a New Loka hit squad came for me and were still attacking, so it definitely has no compunctions of giving you a double-whammy if someone else comes first at least.

I don't think Vor really counts as an invasion. He's a guaranteed spawn and has no other flags than "are you in T4?" Plus, as you said, he doesn't interfere with other invasions.

I believe that's an old room, it's the secret room to the tile that was used on the very first implementation of Solar Rail (when it was competing MDefs). The tile was reenabled a couple hotfixes ago for Capture/Exterminate (maybe all non-endless missions?). They really should reenable it for MDef.

Archwing is busy?

I think that room, and especially its preceding corridor, will be used for Tower Spy missions. You go through it when you're doing the Stolen Dreams quest and the traps are active. Those bulging wall protrusions shock you, there are some spinny lasers and poo poo. And they also do enough damage to instantly kill you if you touch them.

I missed the whole solar rail thing so I didn't see it till they re-enabled it recently.

And yes. Have you done an extermination or a sab or anything that's not an intercept? You can't tell poo poo from poo poo because PIPES GRATES PIPES CORNERS PIPES GRATESPIPESCORNERS A CORNER PIPE A PIPE GRATE. visually it's insanely busy compared to something like towers or any of the older tilesets.

Added more enemies to Crossfire Missions to help increase the carnage.
The Stalker, Gustrag 3 and Zanuka will no longer be summoned in Syndicate Missions.
Life Support drop rates in Survival have been slightly increased at lower difficulties and when solo.
Syndicate Allies will no longer fire at enemies unless the player engages combat or they’re attacked.
Syndicate Allies will hold fire while players are doing stealth kills.
Syndicate Allies should less frequently walk in front of the player when firing their weapons.
Kubrow should less frequently walk in front of the player while the player is shooting/attacking.

All good changes.

On a somewhat related note: I'm looking to tackle all these spy missions once I have a stealth-themed warframe, which I don't have yet. I really like the spy missions, but they reminded me how awful the movement in Warframe is, it never really bothered me before because you can kill people good no matter if you do a wall run or a jump or anything else and falling into some chasm is without any negative effect. But it's infuriating when I'm standing in front of an air duct I want to climb into but somehow I end up wallrunning sideway through a laser barrier, setting of the alarm in the last data vault.

I remember when I first played Titanfall I thought how nice it would be if I could aim for tiny targets like single windows as smoothly in warframe, but forgot about that again because it was just not needed back than anyway... it just would've been nice. But now, I'd really love if they'd redo the controlls and responsivness of the movement. You often feel locked into an animation, especially with fast frames during long jumps. And sometimes the wallrunning just ends somewhere you didn't want to go, not often, but often enough to be annoying if you run mostly stealth stuff.

Or is that just me and my local controls are somehow just hosed up?

Do you play with a controller? I do and I have the same problem all the time. I'm always flinging all around the map when I try and make the simplest jumps. Although I've found with better use of the slide dash I've gotten some cool landings. I also failed my rank 8 mastery test last night because I, for the life of me, can't do the double wallrun with any kind of consistency. I see there's an option in the controls for "auto vault over obstacles" which I haven't tried turning off but I might to see if the wacky movement gets better.

The two specific topics they've covered about parkour 2.0 have been the wallrun jump which Steve said felt janky, and he's right, and vaulting smaller walls and fences which is held back by dead frames and ignores current frame speed and movement.

I'm hoping they focus on the whole interruptions issue itself. Stuff like the roll upon landing, most stances forcing you to stop moving to melee in a game that sells itself on insane mobility plus space ninja melee, climbing walls being contingent on camera angle (wtf?), the wall bounce thing in Archwing being annoying as hell, etc.

They all basically force you to stop playing for a moment and then watch or do this dumb little fiddly bullshit in order to continue playing the way you wanted to.
