What I am worried about (slightly) is the melt flooding streams beyond fordable, or not being able to pass through the north ends because of the massive snowfall. Last loving thing I want to encounter in August is snow.

(Maybe for Boston, but you're far enough from there on the AT) By June/July it should have dried up enough for it to be ball-sticking humid outside with enough mosquitoes to cover New York all landing on you at once.

Excellent. I'll be dousing myself in deet. And probably still be a smoker. The smell of nicotine beading from my skin should be a helpful deterrent.

Nah, cool camera and all, but they eat batteries like candy in normal temps, -15 is gonna sap that poo poo like crazy. I wish I had the cash to jump on the bmpcc wagon when they were 500 bucks, though, regardless of it being expensive as balls to get a true wide angle lens that doesn't require direct sunlight for a proper exposure and a shallow depth of field. I'm getting tax money on top of the Montgomery GI bill refund - about 3 grand total - so I'm hoping to pick up an NX1 in april, assuming NAB doesn't bring about more insane poo poo from black magic or a lower price on the a7s. The rolling shutter's a big drawback, but that poo poo sees better in the dark than any NODs I ever used. Sorry for the camera sperging, yall. I had three whiskey gingers and a few beers, gonna go shoot some armymans on bf4 now.

It was supposed to be a simple and straightforward starter camera but I also got a little disoriented and blew money on a lens adapter instead of focusing on MFT lenses. I further hosed myself by getting the adapter for Nikon F/G lenses instead of Canon EF which would fit my school's Rokinon kits (didn't know this at the time). My 2nd semester Pel Grant money is going directly into the "use this to buy stuff" account, so I've got some cash to get my poo poo together. An EF-MFT adapter without electric connectors would be pretty cheap, i think they run around $40 for basic ones that aren't total garbage and up to $200 for some novaflex precision engineered or whatever adapters. Getting F mount lenses is fine, though, they can adapt to pretty much anything, including Canon.
