Anyone have a good link or reference site for adding cat 6 networking through my crawlspace? I think I'll run some coax too while I'm at it because the existing cable in this house is too old.

Tommychu posted:Of course, Vern's pizza is a thing around here (it's all over AB/SK/MB) and that's basically 1-1.5" of lovely cold cuts stacked on a mediocre pub-style crust/sauce with about the amount of cheese you'd see on an ordinary pizza. Heartburn city, population: meat sweats. I worked for a Vern's for 6 months, haha. Its actually REALLY good quality cold cuts (cheap stuff would end up being even soggier/grosser), and the dough is all made-in-house daily. The sauce is terrible, I agree (some people love it). And unless they've changed how much cheese goes on, it was always decent. The veggies are all also hand-cut (minus olives, jalapenos, banana peppers, and pineapple). But, yeah. If the ovens aren't hot enough, or people didn't make the pizza right, its garbage. It can be either REALLY good, or REALLY bad. I do not miss that place. Not at all.

We made some loaded pizzas for our personal pizza employee meal when I worked for the Inn, but I never got quite that extreme. quote:Let me know if you run across one without the riser card - if you do, I could use the back panel. It's #5 on page 2 of this pdf (part # 435270-001, low profile back wall). Worst case, I'll just take some tin snips to it to make room for the card I have coming (low profile Geforce 210 - also have 4 gigs of RAM on the way). Well, aren't you lucky! All of ours use the low profile back wall. You're lucky to have a C2D, all of ours are Pentium Ds, 1 GHz, IIRC. Which is why they're going away, of course. Tah-dah!: Power supply, no problem, either. I have no idea if the things will take 8 GB. We never put more than 4 GB in a 7700. If somebody needed 8 GB, they got a better machine to start with, usually one of the XW series (also good boxes.) Other than the video issue we're getting, they actually run Win 7 32 pretty well. A lot of HP newer desktop models feature at least one Displayport port, which makes connecting up almost anything a matter of the right cable. Dual monitors, too (one on the VGA, one on the Displayport.) That appears to have started about two models after the 7700 or so. 7800 didn't have one, but the HP Compaq 6000 Pro series does, as does the ProDesk 600s we're getting now. I'm actually in Euless, so it may just be easier to ship, but I may be up in Allen at the end of the month (Dallas Sidekicks playoffs), or if you happen to be near by the mid-cities at some point, I can probably be coerced into meeting up for an exchange (I don't know, man - meeting Internet People in real life? That's just weird!) Whatever works.

You're looking at it the wrong way -- it's less full-on motorsports and more sports entertainment. They have made celebrities out of the drivers and a large part of the event is in the interaction of and cheering for "your guy." I had a similarly anti-NASCAR bend until I had my boy in the garages with a driver and crew right before a race... and they were fantastically down-to-earth and you could see that it was a real passion for those involved. I was offered another garage visit, so I'm hoping to make it to the Brickyard this summer, only this time for the Saturday race. Hopefully it'll be less hectic, and the Sprint Cup races are better watched on TV. This is something that I felt with IndyCar stuff back when it existed, as well.
