Seemed like everybody who had one lost it already because it doesn't stay on a keychain.

It works poorly with pockets, after a while the removable cap loses it's tightness and would turn on and off endlessly. If they made a new one with a non-removable battery I'd probably get it.

I think the omission of the One M8 is an oversight. Its tradeoffs aren't as bad as the S5's or the G3's, according to most of us (and most online reviews) anyway. OP's also missing budget phones and dosen't actively discourage ppl from getting the OnePlus. Basically I'm gonna quote myself:

Where can you get a good AT&T Moto X 2013 these days? It seems like all the reputable sellers with a good stock that were on e-bay previously have disappeared.

My nexus 5 power button appears to have gone wonky. Noticed it had turned itself off in my pocket, switched it back on all seemed well till i hit it again to turn the screen off and it was like id held the button in and it turned off once more. This repeated a few times and now i cant get it to go on for more than a few seconds at a time. It will however now attempt to switch on if I shake it without touching the button.
I contacted google and they said it was still in warranty, however I do have an issue in that the screen was replaced after a breakage not long after I got it (which was at launch) and if it's not an official part then it wont be covered. Given it was a reputable place I got it repaired and how new it was I'm pretty certain they got an official LG part but I've no way of checking this, am I screwed?

I hope they come out with this as it has some cool applications, my phone is not one of them though. Also unless things are way different then I think they are phones have nowhere close to enough processing power to actually display 4k video.

I searched "Moto X" on ebay and I see tons of reputable sellers selling both colors for right around $200.

Someone used to having one physical button should expect there to be two additional buttons that neither look nor function the same as the physical one. Got it.

Brandy does in fact, in my experience, contribute to Getting Down.
I really like my S5, aside from Touchwiz and all of the AT&T bloatware. Its not like its hard to avoid most of touchwiz anyways, and it has one of the best phone cameras on the market, which is pretty important to me.

(Comedy option: Fire Phone since I have Prime and could use another free year, and since you can sideload Google services super easy now)

I don't get it, because they're not bad choices and in fact a lot of people really like them! And they're one on the last pioneers for removables! I mean yeah there's other great choices too but it's not like the Notes or Galaxys are going to bring somebody fits of rage like you seemingly think.

A Moto G suits that purpose, but wouldn't it be better to just make the one purchase? Why the rush? What kinds of things are you looking for in your next phone?

Edit: The Fire Phone is on fire sale, but is still a lovely phone.

No rush to get a specific phone, but I AM in a rush to get away from Sprint! Basically can't use mobile internet here at all ( as far as I can tell, I'm around 2g speeds IF it loads). Essentially if I'm not on WiFi, this HTC One is a dumb phone! I guess I'm more asking for an AT&T MVNO compatible android. What suggestions do you have? I'd LIKE to keep it under 200$ or 300$ at the highest end.

You can still get a 2013 Moto X for that and it's better than a Moto G in every way unless you absolutely insist on an SD card or a larger (but same resolution) screen.

I can't attach it to my keychain anymore because the ... string? that connects it fell apart and I only found half of it. I intend to go to some locksmithy type store and buy something to reconnect it, but I can't recommend it. Beyond the build quality, it failed to work properly about a third of the time.
