Lightning Returns makes so much more goddamn sense with it's plot assuming it was a Valkyrie Profile game that got skinned with FF13 assets. Bitchy Lightning is good though.

FF16 will have been in secret development since halfway through FF7's development cycle, gone through 9 directors including Matsuno, Nomura, Kitase, Toriyama, and even (very quietly) floated by Sakaguchi in 2013, who turned it down in favor of not working on a title which would later be revealed to have drained resources from every project the company has been working on for over 20 years and directly or indirectly chewed up the careers of every designer, engineer, and director at the company.

Tri-Ace assisted with the development of both FFXIII-2 and Lightning Returns. There's nothing proving they were the ones who suggested Lightning become a Valkyrie or you have a weird super-customizable clothing system but it's sure a convenient coincidence!

20 hours in to 13 and I just found out that there's a glitch with Libra in any resolution that's not 720p where it shows almost no information on an enemy. I was wondering why those Eidolon fights were so impossible. I kept casting Libra like it told me, and then just getting bare weakness and immune information. Turns out there's supposed to be text there telling you what they yield to.

Kind of disappointed they only have two FMS songs for the nier music on the japanese site. But anyway, when will we get that? Nier is still one of my favorite games and I'll definitely buy that asap.
