Maybe the Trippin Balls Photoshop filter is best left unused on things that should have straight lines, like houses. OTOH, seeing what appears to be a giant face emerging from the back of that shack, T-1000 style is the most entertaining thing this strip has done in a month. I'm hoping the reason that pizza seems to be airborne is because someone sick of hearing the duck's poo poo has thrown it at him. .

Eh, it seems to be a pretty straightforward "The US is using ISIS as an excuse to expand the War on Terror" cartoon. It's dumb, but pretty expected from Latuff imo. At least I don't think it's saying that the US is behind ISIS. Edit: Anyone know what Latuff thinks the US should do about ISIS? Just ignore them? Man, it is hard for me to be objective about this. I went to NYU for two years for the film program, and between the 60,000 a year, the subpar housing (I got electric shocks from touching my light switch multiple times at one point), the need to insure and at times purchase our own equipment out of pocket, the poor financial aid, and the cases where the administration was getting lavish bonuses and spending the money on third or fourth vacation homes, I got very frustrated with it all, with Manhattan in general, and with a lot of universities. The only good thing was the faculty (most of them, anyway). I go to the University of Pittsburgh now for a degree in psychology, and for half the price I feel like I get better housing, an actual freakin' campus, and staff that are just as skilled and advisors just as helpful as they were in NYU. Universities seriously sell themselves on the prestige of their names and the fact that people believe you absolutely need a top-tier university degree to succeed in this job environment, then skimp out on actually living up to those expectations where they can and giving any surplus to the people at the top. It's an extortion racket on kids who don't know better and parents too desperate to see their children succeed to question the institutions they're buying into.
