My fiancee always gets in bed before me, and our lab/hound mix lays on my spot until I arrive, and then he moves down to the end. I get my bed pre-warmed! He definitely does this though if he's on the bed and I haven't taken him outside for the last time of the night yet. "Come on, let's go outside" and he just looks up at me with soulful eyes trying to impart just how comfy he is.

I've watched this at least five times and it doesn't get old. It being near where I live and the fact that the last SB we won was against the team that plays there is even better.
