the store owner and i are really chill and we  out back between rounds and i have him over sometimes but honestly it wasnt my only factor of departing from the game and id rather not get 10 literal kids and 5 "adults" banned and run down a friends business in order to be comfortable to play a game i have a waning interest in on every level that isnt edh or pro tour type stuff. It wasnt ngit, but its too far away to feasibly go there every week. i still intend on playing edh and tiny leaders with a group of friends who just play 100% proxy because the game is way more fun when everybody has access to the best cards and not just the person with the deepest wallet winning or getting ganged up on every game. No, because explore isn't a net gain of mana unless you have 2 amulets out, which isn't a condition you want to bank on. I could see the deck going all in on Azusa or similar permanent-based effects but I'm willing to bet it'd hurt its playability a lot more than Seething Song ended up hurting Storm.

Losing Summer Bloom just kills the deck because it prevents it from being able to do anything aggressive until like T4. Explore doesn't change that. The deck also lacks the consistency required to actually eat a ban.

Amulet will not be banned because it's not consistently a turn 1/2/3 win and is incredibly easy to disrupt. This thread's moronic ideas about what will get a card banned in Modern are hilarious.

Ways to get banned in modern: 1) consistently win in first three turns 2) be generally annoying and cause strains on tournament times 3) a card that if you're in (color) you're either playing that card as the lynchpin of your deck, or playing a bad deck

GP Vancouver question: Does anybody remember that guy who got kicked out? He had a video camera and a mysterious box of other stuff, security rolled up on him, took his poo poo and banned him, then he tried to re-enter multiple times. Then on Sunday he came in and security just quietly surrounded him until the cops showed up. What the gently caress was up with that?
