Her mom had it and her grandmother had it as well, it seems to affect females on that tree, fortunately she had 2 boys, however they both have daughters so it's going to be a nail biter to see if it skips or not.

On the one hand yeah it'd be terrifying, but on the other hand the less I understand as my body slowly succumbs to old age, the better. If I end up having no idea what's going on in my final months, I think I'd be OK with that. Better than being completely knowledgeable about it I think. I don't want to lose either, and hope I keep the mental clarity to somehow off myself if I see the slope coming. My grandfathers body started failing, and his mind was sharp as a tack. Near the end of his life, he was angry and bitter all the time. A once strong, proud farmer was trapped in a husk that wouldn't let him speak coherently, eyes that wouldn't let him read any more, and ears that didn't work to listen to people. It was loving awful, and I truly would not wish it on anybody. I had a great-aunt who's mind went, and its just as bad. She didn't remember people, names, had panic attacks since she was randomly lost and didn't know where she was, etc. My mother has the best plan - as soon as she determines she's done being any kind of useful, she's going to wait for the first good blizzard, go for a drive, ditch the car, and just let herself freeze to death. Apparently a peaceful way to go, and she swears she never wants to be a burden. Legal, doctor-assisted suicide cannot come quickly enough. Let people die with dignity rather than keeping a shell alive.

Freezing to death just sounds awful. I fell asleep drunk by the campfire once in wet socks with my coat unbuttoned in November and waking up shivering uncontrollably was not my idea of a good time. Try and nail a conference table with my meaty remains or something. Go out with style! Also, apparently freezing, once you hit a certain point, is just warmness and a sleep that you never wake up from. Given my moms threshold for pain I wouldn't be shocked if she could pull it off. Its also a way to make sure there's no muss, no fuss, and no chance of hurting someone else.

The worst was on my way home, a Blazer had been tailgating me, decided to try to pass me, stomped it, and did a 180 next to me. I had to swerve into the next lane, but since I actually did it without doing stupid poo poo like stomping on the gas, standing on the brakes, or yanking on the wheel as hard as I could, I avoided them easily (then did a slow when they caught up to me at the next light, they refused to look in my direction for some odd reason). I think that poo poo is headed my way next. We had freezing rain all day yesterday with a forecast for snow + sleet + freezing rain throughout the day tomorrow.

Makes anything you cook with it delicious. Every time I want chicken, I buy a few whole birds, butcher them myself and just save the carcasses in the freezer. Usually when butchering the chickens I save the wings and drumsticks for roasting, so those roasted bones are added later too. Every time I buy/use celery, onions, carrots, garlic etc, I save the peels/ends and freeze them too. When I have enough 'waste' products, I chuck them in a pressure cooker with some pepper, thyme, water and cook 45min. Free no salt stock*. Freeze in a silicone muffin tray, (so easy to pop out when frozen solid), and then chuck the frozen pucks in a zip lock bag in the freezer. * Just said that for the benefit of people that want a low sodium diet. I can't stand unseasoned food, but I don't eat fast/junk food or pre-processed food much. When I cook, I do love salt, vinegar, spice, dairy, sauces inc mustard and/or chillies. Wouldn't eat at all if was bland food, food is just a vehicle to get those flavours into my mouth. I'm hardly ever hungry anyway and would just get some alcohol instead if it wasn't for the want of those flavours. E: VVV Then do what I do. Every month or so you'll have enough offcuts and bones in the freezer to make a litre of stock and freeze into pucks. If storage is a problem reduce the stock as concentrated as you can, then re-dilute with water for use in cooking Fo3 fucked around with this message at 20:10 on Feb 24, 2015 |

We have a giant stock pot that can fit 2 whole chickens and makes a ton of stock, but it also gets used in almost everything that gets cooked in the house so it only lasts a month at most. When we get down to 1 container of stock in the freezer we make another batch. If it's cheap the rear suspension is pretty neat in addition to four wheel discs. The biggest issues I've had with owning a semi-obscure 20+ year old econocoupe are finding model specific interior and especially exterior parts. Drivetrain and suspension items are rather cheap and a quick browse of Rockauto show the MX-3 is no different. The question is do you want to deal with the problems of a 20 year old 2,582lb japanese car while only getting 0-60 in 8.3 seconds with an open differential? Seals and hoses on my Toyota are rather tired after all these years and I'm guessing that's par for the course. The NX2000 (SR20DE with a LSD) appears to be the king of naturally aspirated early 90s FF 2+2 coupes if you can get one though. The Eclipse GS-T/Laser RS Turbo/Talon TSi poo poo on everything else summarily. The whole market is full of unicorns like the Geo Storm GSi, Isuzu Impulse Turbo, Hyundai Scoupe, Toyota Paseo, Escort GT, and Nissan NX2000. puberty worked me over fucked around with this message at 21:25 on Feb 24, 2015 |
